This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic from That Artsy Reader Girl is Favorite Book Settings. Honestly, I was stumped for more than two. So, I decided to change it up and share some book covers that have autumn vibes. You know the books I’m talking about, the ones with autumn leaves, the warm colors of autumn, with maybe a hint of spooky. Oh, and I made a list of 15 books instead of just 10.
While these books may not be set in the autumn, the covers all have autumn feels. I tried to list an assortment of genres, that way, everyone can find something they like. For more information about each book, click the cover image or the title below.
The Secret of the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene || Runaway Ralph by Beverly Cleary || Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker and Wendy Xu
- The Square Root of Murder by Ada Madison
- The Last Seance by Agatha Christie
- The Bone Orchard by Paul Doiron
- The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd
- The Secrets of Flight by Maggie Leffler
- Whispers in the Reading Room by Shelley Gray
- The Dirt on Ninth Grave by Darynda Jones
- Spider’s Web by Charles Osborne
- The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate
- The Adventure of the Peculiar Protocols by Nicholas Meyer
- These Feathered Flames by Alexandra Overy
- The Concrete Vineyard by Cam Lang
So that’s just a brief list of books I’ve read and want to read that have autumn vibes. Did you find any new reads? Did I miss any?

I came up with 5 and went with it anyway. Reading other people’s lists I’m like, oh yeah! I love your list it’s perfect for this time of year.
Oh, these look so great together, love the autumn vibe!
I love the earthy colors of these. They’re so warm and autumn-ish for sure, great job! Love the Nancy Drew one. And The adventure of Peculiar Protocols looks amazing too.
The only one I’ve read from this list was These Feathered Flames, but all of these covers just scream FALL! Great list.
I love the Charley Davidson series. It was so much fun.
Thanks for visiting my blog earlier.
Charley is such a fun character!
Oh, that was a fun thing and loved some of your book choices too, I love me a good Agatha Christie!
Loving all of these covers, especially the one with the coffee cups with skulls in them. So cool!
Love your list. I especially like the cover of The Dirt on Ninth Grave
Nice spin on the topic! Lots of wonderful covers!
I love that Nancy Drew cover! Sometimes old book covers can be very charming.
How wonderful. I love autumn, as well. My favourite season. The only book from your list that I’ve read is “The Invention of Wings” and that was absolutely fantastic.
You using the word “autumn” instead of fall makes me think you might be British?
Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier which took me around the world to thirteen countries..
Thank you!
And I hate to disappoint, but I am not British, though I am married to a British man. I’ve never been any where other than North America.
These covers do have Autumn vibes. The Square Root of Murder sounds good! Thanks for visiting Long and Short Reviews!
Oh yes, these cover all definitely have very autumnal vibes! It’s great that they over so many different genres too.
These are great autumn vibes! The cover you show for The Secret of the Old Clock isn’t one I’ve seen before. It has much more of an autumn feel to it than the cover I’m used to.
It’s not the normal cover, but I like this one more. The other feels more spring/summer like.
Love these covers, they really do look very autumnal!
These all look fabulous and definitely give off an autumn vibe. Though I love Beverly Cleary, I don’t think I ever read Runaway Ralph. The Secrets of Flight and The Book of Lost Friends caught my eye. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog.
I love the colours of these autumn covers!
Cool list, autumn have the most beautiful colors. Mooncakes is a lovely story
