Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl gave Joanne from Portobello Book Blog the reins to pick this week’s topic. And what topic did Joanne come up with? She’s asking us to share book titles featuring ordinal numbers. For this, I decided to share five titles that include the word first and five titles that include the word last. So let’s look at ten first or last book titles!

When searching for books with ordinal numbers in the titles, I keep coming across books in a series. Especially, one in particular. I didn’t want to list an entire series, and no other books. Instead, I decided to share books that contain the word ‘first’ or ‘last’.
All titles will take you to Goodreads.
Now, it’s time to look at ten first or last book titles!

Creative idea to use first and last! Well done!
Oh, that was smart! I wish I’d thought of that. Great job!
A great twist on the theme. It was harder than I thought when I chose it 🤣
That’s a clever twist, wish I’d thought of it 🙂
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
Great twist on the theme!
I’m curious about First Grave on the Right.
Fun! I read Second First Impressions years ago and remember liking it a lot!
Ooh, I like the way you went about this! I totally forgot about Built to Last 👀 I was so keen to get my hands on that when it first came out and everyone seemed to be loving it. I still haven’t got my hands on a copy, but I still hope to! Lol. Great picks!
It was a fun read. I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance to read it.
Second First Impressions is a nice double-play! I also clumped around first and last, though more on accident than by design.
oh i like what you did with this prompt! My TTT
What a smart take!! This was definitely the way to go. I loved Built to Last!
This was a great way to go! I struggled a bit as well, but just made a shorter list.
Love the direction you took this post, Pam. Such great books!

Built to Last looks cute!
It was a fun read.
I ran across Anna’s, but didn’t end up using that one. Still, it sure looks cute and I know lots of readers love Sally’s modern romance novels too. 🙂 Thanks for visiting my list today!
These look good. I struggled this week. I just don’t read books with numbers in the title 🤣
Have a great week!
Honestly, neither do I. That’s why I went this route.
First is definitely popular!
I probably could have come up with more than 10 with just FIRST.
That was a great way to do this topic. I have several listed from one series, but I threw in a couple of others because I didn’t want to have ten from the same series. Fun topic!
This is fun! Great idea!
Love at First Spite has such a great title. Makes me instantly want to know more. Great list!
It was a fun read.
Nice work!! I LOVED Major Pettigrew! And what a cool cover on the football book! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the Football Hall of Fame a few years ago. I’m not a sports fan, but I knew a lot thanks to growing up with my Dad lol.
I considered using “last” as an ordinal number! You beat me to the idea!
Love your take on this! I have Love At First Spite on my kindle, I really need to get to it.
I hope you enjoy it when you finally get the chance to read it.
I thought I was going to have to use last too! Then I found I had more ordinal numbers on my list than I thought.
What a great way to do this week’s suggestion. I have seen the Sally Thorne book now a few times while visiting.
Nice twist Pam. First was easy to find, I did all ten that way. I’ve read 3 of these and enjoyed them.
I love how much attention Darynda Jones is getting this week, I never see anyone talking about her!! Thanks for dropping by my list!
I remember laughing through the majority of the Charley Davidson series. I love characters with snark and sass, and Charley is definitely at the top of that list.
There was a female sheriff too, I am blanking on the name but the title had Sunshine in it!
I’ve read the first two in the Sunshine Vicram trilogy. I hope to read the third one this year.
I like how you divided your list. Fun!
Happy TTT!

I like what you did with the topic – it probably would have been an easier one for me to put together something like it than the one I did. 🙂
Great list! I’ve got a few of these books on my TBR, but I haven’t read any of them yet.
What a great idea!
Lots of these look great to me!
Loved your twist to the theme, and a great list here… My ttt is here – https://www.ladyinreadwrites.com/books-with-ordinal-numbers-can-be-more-than-ordinary/
I love where you went with the topic! I wish I had gotten more creative with this topic too but I love seeing what everyone else did!
