Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl gave Laurie C from Bay State Reader’s Advisory the reins to pick this week’s topic. And what topic did Laurie C come up with? They are asking us to share ten books for armchair travelers. I’ve done similar posts lots of times: the US (here), Canada (here), road trips (here), assorted places (here), Toronto (here), and Michigan (here). This week, I’m featuring books that have people on vacation or trips that I would like to take. It’s time to plan that vacation!

Some books are family road trips, some are self-discovery trips, and others are straight-up adventures. But they all feature travel, and who doesn’t enjoy that?
All titles will take you to Goodreads.
Now, it’s time to plan that vacation!

This Book Made Me Think of You sound like a story I like to read! I read some books by Jenny Colgan, but not the one you recommend. Her books are always fun and easy reads
I hope you enjoy reading it when you get the chance.
These are all new to me but I’ve heard good things about Secret Nights and Northern Lights. It’s my goal to see the Northern Lights someday. I started learning Norwegian because I might want to go on the Chasing the Northern Lights cruise someday and that cruise’s ports are all in Norway, lol.
I would love to see the Northern Lights, whether in Canada where I live, Iceland, or Norway.
Nice recommendations! I put This Book Made Me Think of You on my TBR-list
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I’ve heard such good things about Agatha Christie’s novels.
I’ve been eyeing Killers of a Certain Age. Thanks for reminding me!
Killers of a Certain Age, and it’s sequel Kills Well with Others, are such fun reads!
I thought about Christie too. There’s a few that would have worked for this topic.
And I keep saying that Libby Page book everywhere. I don’t think it’s for me but I may be too curious to pass it up 🤔
*seeing, not saying 🤦🏼♀️
I hope you give it a chance. It’s truly a book lovers book.
Secret Nights and Northern Lights was so cute! And Arctic Cruise looks good too!
The Arctic Cruise was a great read.
OMG Batter Royale looks so cute! And I love the play on Battle Royale for the title lol.
It’s a cute graphic novel that was a fun read.
I just finished This Book Made Me Think of You 💖
I loved it so much!
I’m intrigued by Libby’s, and Courtney’s was sweet and entertaining. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my list today.
I think you’ll enjoy reading Libby’s. Plus there are so many book recommendations throughout it.
I am shocked I have not read any of these yet.
Here’s my TTT: https://readintowonderland.blogspot.com/2026/02/t10t-books-i-liked-but-cant-remember.html
THIS BOOK MAKES ME THINK OF YOU sounds amazing.
It honestly is! I finished it earlier this month, and it has seriously impacted my enjoyment with other books. It’s like nothing else can compare.
The places within the Arctic Circle are very popular as bucket list travel destinations
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
These all sound so good. I have to add a few to my TBR.
Fab list! I love Libby Page’s books, and so excited that there’s travel in her latest!
There is a lot of traveling! I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance to read it.
Great list! I’ve heard only good things about This Book Makes Me Think Of You, I’m hoping to read it soon.
It’s my first true 5-star read of the year. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Some interesting looking books there. I’ve read the Agatha Christie one. I was toying with the idea of putting it on my list!
Have a great week!
Honestly, you could have done a whole list just with Agatha Christie books for this week.
Definitely! They make you well travelled!
I can’t believe I didn’t think of A Caribbean Mystery! Great choice!
I’ve been very tempted by This Book Made Me Think of You from other people’s posts, and you’ve made me more curious!
It’s my first true 5-star read of the year. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did if you give it a read.
Love the direction of this week’s post, Pam! Such beautiful covers, too. I need to add some of these to my wish list. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog.
Good choices! How did I miss Yours For the Season??
I think it was a quick release with very little fanfare.
I’ll mark it for this coming December. Thanks
Two books with Northern Lights on the cover!! I haven’t read either, but they both look so appealing! I do love Jenny Colgan’s books — they always make me feel swept away to whatever small town she’s writing about. Great list!
I would love to see the Northern Lights, whether here in Canada or off in Iceland or Norway.
Love this take on the prompt! The Summer of Yes is so good — I read it with my book club last summer, and we all really liked it.
I received This Book Made Me Think of You in the mail last week, and I can’t wait to read it! Happy Tuesday!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Hey Pam, I haven’t read any of these! I love the sound of the ones taking us to a remote Scottish island though, and of course I am always up for reading more Agatha Christie! 😊
I don’t think you could ever go wrong reading more Agatha Christie.
Quite! 😊
The Summer of Yes – I’ve made that drive going the opposite way, NC to NYC. It’s a looong drive. It would be interesting to read about someone doing that, since I have experience doing it myself.
I enjoyed Killers of a Certain Age. I think maybe there is a sequel now. Pretty sure I also read that Jenny Colgan but sometimes I get her books confused.
I read the sequel to Killers of a Certain Age, Kills Well with Others, last year and loved it too. As for Jenny Colgan’s books, I’ve found a few times that the titles have been changed over time.
I just finished This Book Made Me Think of You, and, I agree, it’s a book that’s filled with travel.
What a great list! I really love how you explain ALL the places the characters visited in each book. I need to read The Summer of You. I have it. It’s just collecting electric dust in my Kindle. LOL! This Book Made Me Think of You has the best cover. So cute!
Great choices! I already have a couple of these on my TBR list, but I’m adding A Caribbean Mystery.
I love Deanna Raybourn’s books. I have added Libby Page’s book to my list, since I enjoyed The Lido quite a bit.
Ohh, yes!! Deanna Raybourn does a fantastic job with all her series! Veronica Speedwell travels a lot too.
So many of these trips sound wonderful! I would especially love to take an arctic cruise (or even just see Norway, if not the whole deal listed there).
I haven’t read any of these but they all look like fun! I do like Uzma Jalaluddin and Deanna Raybourn but haven’t read these. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t know why but I love the romance of the Northern Lights. I still haven’t seen them in person but hopefully one day soon!

I haven’t seen them myself, but I so desperately want to!
I’ve read and enjoyed a couple of these!
This Book Made Me Think of You is right at the top of my must read soon list, which is different to my TBR list! It sounds so good, and even better now that I know it has those great destinations in them!
It’s my first true 5 star read for the year. And has kind of left me suffering through a book hangover most of this month. Nothing has really struck the same chord for me, which is unfortunate, because I’ve read a few books I really wanted to love.
Great list, Pam! All of these sound great and make me want to travel to those places. The only one I’ve read off your list is Killers of A Certain Age (which I loved) but I’ve got a few others on my TBR already. Love all the Alaska, Iceland, Norway locations—they’re all places I’d love to visit IRL too.
These kind of books inspire so many great vacations 😀
