How was your reading for the month of February? I was really surprised when I looked over the books for this reading wrap-up. I mean I read 8 books. Seriously?! How when it’s the shortest month of the year?

Would you like to see the list of books I read this month? Of course you would.

February 2021 Reading Wrap-Up

See, I told you I read a lot this month!

A Brief Summary of Each Book

Book 1: The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared

I chose this book as part of my location reading challenge. The location for February was Scandinavia. This funny book is mostly set in Sweden, but there are several trips to the rest of the world. Allan Karlsson is possibly one of my favorite seniors I’ve read about!

Book 2: The Hate U Give

I chose this book as part of the reading challenge from the Uncorked Librarian. This month’s theme was Book by a Contemporary Black Author. This book is eye-opening and honest about the experiences many people that we never hear about. Total must read!

Book 3: The Secret Adversary

This book was picked as part of the #ReadChristie2021 challenge that is shared through the Official Agatha Christie website. The theme for February was a story featuring love. It was an entertaining read, and not one I would normally classify as a mystery as it’s more of a spy thriller. I was also introduced to Tommy and Tuppence.

Book 4: Flood Girls

This book was chosen because of my colorful reading challenge. The color for February was purple. This is a contemporary story, though it is set in the early 1990s (the book was published in 2016). It’s an interesting look into tiny town living.

Book 5: Jonny Appleseed

I picked this book up to read as I saw it on the CBC Canada Reads 2021 list. This book features a Two-Spirit/Indigiqueer main character. You follow this character as they work to for the funds to make it home in time for a funeral. Definite eye-opener!

Book 6: Geekerella

My husband got this for me for Valentine’s Day, so I just had to read it! It’s a sweet retelling of Cinderella.

Book 7: The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper

I decided to listen to this audiobook while working on some stuff around the house. It has been on my TBR since February 2018.

Book 8: We Are Not Free

I first heard about this book in December, and just knew I wanted to read it. It was surprising when I checked my library and they had a copy available. This just meant I had to read it! And you are too!

March 2021 TBR

We both know that I will read more than these books in March, and that is ok. These are the 3 I will definitely be reading.

That is my complete Reading Wrap-Up for February 2021, and a tease of my March 2021 TBR.
