Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana from That Artsy Reader Girl has handed the reins for picking the topic for this week’s Top Ten Tuesday over to Cathy from What Cathy Read Next. And what did Cathy come up with for this week’s topic? She’s asking us to share our favorite books from our favorite authors. I did a similar post a few years ago, featuring my favorite Agatha Christie books, which you can find here. I’ve even shared books for Christie fans to read here. So this week, I’ve decided to share some of my favorite covers for one of my favorite Christie books, Murder on the Orient Express.

Released in 1934, Murder on the Orient Express is one of the first books many people read by Christie. It has also been adapted multiple times across generations. It’s one of the few books I own multiple copies of, each with a different cover.

  1. It’s crazy that any sort of production has so many variations of the cover art. I think the Italian cover is my favorite.

    1. The list I was looking at when I did this had over 1000 different covers! It also helps that the book is almost 100 years old.

  2. This is such a fun idea, and I love all the different covers you found! My favorites are the Italian and German covers😁

  3. I am always amazed by how unique a single cover can be depending on where one is in the world! Gorgeous collection here 🙂

    1. The Arabic one caught my eye because it’s so different. And the Swedish one has a pulp fiction feel to it.

  4. What a fun topic! It’s always so fun to collect or at least look at the many different variations famous books have. 🙂 Thanks for visiting my list today.

    1. I love Bengali cover for the dragon. While working on the list, I had to explain to my daughter why there was a dragon on the cover. She wrinkled her nose and said she didn’t like it.

  5. There were so many wonderful covers it was hard to choose. My favorite Christie mystery is Ten Little Indians.

    1. That was the first book of hers that I read. I may do another list like this with that book.

  6. The Croation and Urdu ones are pretty cool. That one English cover pretty much gives the ending away! I finally read the book just a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it, even after seeing a movie adaption of it.

    1. The Urdu cover is interesting with Poirot’s silhouette framing the train, and the color choices.

  7. Very cool post! My favorites are the Thai and Urdu versions, but they are all pretty nice. I’ll give an honorable mention to the Japanese artist for originality.

    1. The list I took these from had around 1000 different covers. But it was fun looking at all of them, and I think I may do this again in the future.

  8. I love this post! It’s amazing to think that people all over the world over different time periods have enjoyed it. I actually haven’t read this one. I’m ashamed to say that I’ve only read a few and most of them are Miss Marple.

    Have a great week!

  9. These are lovely! I love the overall vibe of the Urdu cover, but I’m fascinated by how the Norwegian cover doesn’t show the full train, but instead shows the train compartment.

    1. I think that’s part of the appeal of the cover. I love how differernt countries/languages intrepeted the story on the cover.
