Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana, over at That Artsy Reader Girl, is asking us to share books with handwriting on the cover. I decided to focus not just on fonts that look like handwriting, but on those with eye-catching typography. While we aren’t supposed to judge a book by its cover, we all do, and the font choice is often the top thing that draws our attention.

So what is typography? According to Merriam-Webster, typography is the style, arrangement, or appearance of typeset matter. What does that mean? It means the letters’ appearance is eye-catching and visually appealing.
Now, let’s look at book covers with eye-catching typography!

There are some great fonts and looks on these covers! I’ve seen Jean’s on lots of lists but haven’t ever read it. May be one I need to take a closer look at. Thanks for visiting my list this week. 🙂

I am very much drawn by the cover. I then read the blurb and if I like it I read it and if I don’t then I don’t 😂
Great fonts!
Have a great week!
Out on a Limb sounds good!
Future Boy was amazing. 🙂
This is reminding me that I need to pick up Something More. Great picks for this week!
Some great choices here!
These fonts and titles definitely add to the initial appeal of these books. Nice choices, Pam.
These are all really nice! Thanks for sharing and thanks for stopping by my blog today!
I love Future Boy. It’s always nice when something is different than the norm and really catches the eye!
I love X-Files: Agent of Chaos! I love all things X-Files. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone with an X-File book on their list before. Too cool!!! Hope you are having a great week.
Nothing catches my eye on a book cover like an intriguing font!
A font choice completely changes how we perceive the entire genre of a book before we even read the first sentence, as seen in the playful styling of The Matzah Ball compared to the more suspenseful formatting in the mystery section. You managed to find a fantastic variety across so many different categories, and I am especially drawn to the design choices on The Secret Lives of Booksellers & Librarians. http://www.melodyjacob.com
Future Boys grabs the attention and works great for the genre.
