Happy Foodie Friday y’all! Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared some gift-giving ideas for the person in your life who loves baking. This week is another list of gift ideas, but the ones that are perfect for stuffing a stocking. Unlike the previous two weeks, there is no minimum or maximum price for the gifts. The one thing these gifts have in common is their size and fit perfectly in a stocking. You could also tie these smaller gifts together and create a gift basket. Are you ready to check out the Baking Gift Guide Stocking Stuffer Edition?

Baking Gift Guide Stocking Stuffer Edition

1. Vanilla Beans

I know that giving vanilla beans as a gift seems a bit random, but trust me. Vanilla beans are not something that many bakers will buy for themselves, but they are versatile. You can cut one open and place it in a container of granulated sugar, and bam, you’ve got vanilla sugar! Perfect for dusting the top of muffins or for using in your baking. You can even use them to make homemade vanilla extract! Some recipes even call for vanilla beans.

2. Sprinkles

You can give the regular sprinkles that you find in the grocery store, or you could find some fun ones at specialty stores and online. Just make sure if you buy them online that you are getting edible sprinkles, as there are some made specifically for soaps and candles.

3. Food Coloring Gel

Many people are familiar with food coloring, especially the ones found in the grocery stores around Easter. But many bakers prefer food coloring gel. Why? Because the traditional food coloring adds water to the mixture, whereas the gels don’t. You can buy the gels in a set or separately.

4. Cupcake Liners

Also known as cupcake wrappers, cupcake liners are such a fun stocking stuffer idea. They come in a multitude of sizes, colors, and patterns. They also come in a variety of materials. I prefer the silicone ones as they are reusable, and they release the cupcake and muffins a lot easier than the paper ones.

5. Frosting Spatula

If your gift recipient loves making cakes and cupcakes, then maybe you can get them a frosting spatula or three. I say three because they come in various sizes, and all of the sizes can be useful.

6. Cookie Scoop

A cookie scoop is a must-have, especially if you bake a lot of cookies. It’s a great way to ensure your cookies are the same size. Thus baking and cooling times are the same. There is a variety of sizes so that you can make small cookies or large cookies. At the moment, I own two different sizes.

7. Cookie Cutters and Stamps

Cookie cutters are such a fun gift idea. Why? Because you can find them in various shapes. And cookie stamps? They are a great way to add details to a traditional round cookie.

8. Baking Stickers

Stickers can be used to personalize water bottles, laptops, anything really. And why not show off a love of baking?

9. Pins

Yet another way to show off one’s love of baking, pins are a great idea for stocking stuffing.

10. Gift Cards

Obviously, I couldn’t forget gift cards. The question is, where to pick up a gift card for a baker or anyone who enjoys spending time around food? Think about where they enjoy shopping.

A gift card to a store where they can pick up specialized ingredients would be appreciated. In Canada, we have a store called Bulk Barn. They sell a variety of items, all at bulk prices. It’s a great place to find specialty items that you may not use often enough to buy in the grocery store.

Where does the person like to go for tools or gadgets to use while they are baking? Think of someplace like Micheal’s, which has a large section of baking items ranging from pans to sprinkles to gift boxes.

And that is a brief Baking Gift Guide Stocking Stuffer Edition! Did you find anything you want to add to your holiday wish list? Is there something that I missed? Don’t forget to check my other gift guides as well: Big Spender Edition and Budget Edition.

  1. I like those cookie stamps, I haven’t seen those before. Great blog post, so many good ideas.

    1. Wendy, I haven’t used a cookie stamp either, but I wouldn’t say no to receiving one.

  2. Great list! I had forgotten about the food coloring gel… my mom used to use those when she decorated cakes. I remember watching her stir the gel into frosting. I don’t think she still uses them, though, since she no longer does the really intricate cakes.
