Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl is giving us a freebie. That means we can pick any topic we want! So, this week, I’m continuing to work my way through the alphabet. Previously, I shared a list of ten books starting with the letters A (here), B (here) and C (here). This week, the D’s have it!

The D's Have It: Ten Titles Starting with D

Ten book titles starting with the letter D! You would think this would be an easy challenge, right? Of course, I had to make it a bit more difficult on myself! I am not including any books that are part of a series. Another way I made this a bit harder on myself is by only listing books I’ve read and enjoyed!

All titles will lead to Goodreads.

Now let’s see if the D’s have it!

  1. I loved Dear Mrs Bird. A quick scan of one of my bookcases revealed Deposed by David Barbaree, Death’s Jest-Book by Reginald Hill, Dark Dawn Over Steep House by M.R.C. Kasasian and Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie. Now I really must get back to the review I’m really supposed to be writing!

  2. This is a fantastic list! I’m really enjoying your alphabet series. I’ve read Dear Fahrenheit 451 and Dear Mrs. Bird (I find it a bit amusing that the two I’ve read are the ones that start with “Dear”) and though neither were favourites, it was an interesting reminder as I haven’t thought about either in ages. Of the ones I haven’t read I’m most interested in The Door-to-Door Bookstore, which I hadn’t heard of, and Ducks, which I learned about when it was on Canada Reads and keep meaning to pick up! Thanks for sharing and for the reminders of some books I’d mostly forgotten!

    1. Thanks! I first learned about Ducks because of Canada Reads. It’s a chunky graphic novel, and not always an easy read. But it is definitely accessible.

  3. Fun! My son was just talking about Dear Fahrenheit 451 and how good it was when he read. I have not read it, or any of the others. Have a great week!

    1. I’ve read a couple of her YA books and really enjoyed them both. I haven’t tried her adult romances yet.

  4. I read The Do-Over for Valentine’s Day (or around there) and it was cute. Definitely makes me curious to read more by Lynn. 🙂 Thanks a bunch for visiting my website this week.

  5. Thanks for sharing! Dear Fahrenheit 451: Love and Heartbreak in the Stacks by Annie Spence sounds like a great book, I’d love to read it!

  6. A great list. I didn’t know there were so many books with D in the title! I especially like the sound of Dear Fahrenheit 451.

    Have a great week!

    1. Don’t be intimidated by the size of Ducks, as it’s over 350 pages. The story is eye opening, and raises lots of concerns about those who work in the oil fields.

  7. Ooh nice topic choice! I’ll have to remember this alphabet one for next time! Hopefully I can find enough titles once I pick a letter! Lol. These are all new to me titles!

    Thanks for visiting my TTT!

  8. I love how creative your topics are, and how you consistently challenge yourself to make the topics harder for yourself for some reason (??). LOL! But you always post such cool books that I can’t do much but appreciate your posts. I especially liked the sound of Daughter of the Deep and Dear Fahrenheit 451 – both sound so intriguing that I’m going to have to add them to my TBR.
