Happy November, y’all! How is it already November? Is it just me, or has 2026 just flown by? Ah! Can it at least slow down a little? Seriously, the year has been up and down for me. I want things to be a tad more stable. But for now, let’s get to what we’re all here for-my October 2026 wrap-up!

Review: Powerful read!

My October TBR was very Christmas-heavy. I finished most of it; I have around 100 pages left in my last book of the month. I even managed to knock a book off of my Autumn TBR.

Did I read a good book in October? I would recommend almost any of the books I finished. My favorite read of the month is a hard one to pick. I have to say, Eight Ways to Say I Love You by Amanda Elliot is my favorite, and it was a 5-star read. But you can’t go wrong with Murder on 34th Street by Mariah Fredericks, Dear Miss Lake by A.J. Pearce, or Sisters in the Wind by Angeline Boulley.

November TBR

October Blog Wrap-Up & November Plans

In October, I published 11 posts. Of those 11, 4 were reviews, and 5 were TTT posts. I also did a wrap-up post and a shelf clean-up.

In July 2026, I shared my most anticipated holiday releases of 2026, and it was the most popular post in October. Of the 11 posts I published in October, the most popular was the Halloween Creatures Book Tag I did last week.

What does November have in store for the blog? I’m not 100% sure. I am planning five reviews, four Top Ten Tuesday posts, and a couple of cookbooks to review. One has been waiting for a review since August or September. Whoops!

Personal Stuff

My October was a tad crazy, as I expected, since Thanksgiving and my birthday fell in the same week. Actually, they were only a few days apart. Oh, and we had a surprise visit that week too. My mom told me on a Friday that she was coming up for a week and would arrive the following Wednesday. It was great to see her and her pup; it’s the first time they’ve been here in a few years.

Oh, and my date with my husband? We went and saw a stage production of Murder on the Orient Express. I have seen a few adaptations and loved them all, but this is the first time I felt emotional. It really makes you think about the position Hercule Poirot finds himself in throughout the story.

What does November have in store for me? More of a roller coaster ride. Why? The weather is starting to change, and with that comes the need to prepare for winter. Work is in chaos, much like the way we started the year. We’re down three team members out of 20. Add the start of the Christmas season to all that, and I’m going to be all over the place.

That’s my October in a nutshell. How was your October? What was your favorite read? What are your plans for November?
