Happy Tuesday, y’all! Back at the beginning of April, Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl asked us to share books with April showers vibes. Now that it’s May, she’s made the theme of this week’s Top Ten Tuesday as May Flowers. We can choose cover art or titles. I decided to go with cover art. I did a couple of similar posts a few years ago; you can find them here and here. Now let’s see what even more May flowers those April showers brought!

  1. The title and cover of Caroline’s is SO intriguing. Makes me want to learn more. And Elinor’s is a stunner! 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my list today.

  2. I’ve got This Book Made Me Think of You reserved at the library! I like the sound of A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping too 🙂

  3. Someone brought up This Book Made Me Think of You at my book group last night. Is it what I call a Kleenex book? Even if so, I have now put it on hold at the library.

I am in the middle of a different book by Elinor Florence, although I got sidetracked by some about-to-be-overdue library books.

    1. It wouldn’t hurt of have a box of Kleenex nearby while reading This Book Make Me Think of You. What Florence book are you reading now? I tried Wildwood, but found it difficult to stay with the story.

  4. There are some great books on here! This Book Made Me Think of You is one of my top books this year. Cleo Dang Would Rather Be Dead was one I read recently and it was amazing, even if it was a very tough read!

    1. Cleo Dang was a very tough read, especially as someone who has suffered pregnancy loss. I’m glad the author felt the need to share her story for others to be able to relate to.

    1. It’s my favorite book of the year so far. It actually put me in a bit of a slump it was so good and nothing was able to match it.

    1. Isn’t it funny how books get different covers in different markets? I saw the UK cover of This Book Made Me Think of You and didn’t think it fit the book quite right. I hope you enjoy reading it.

    1. Augusta is such a fun character! The story is a told through dual timelines (1920s & 1980s), but each is clearly defined and told mostly told through Augusta’s POV.

  5. These are pretty covers. I was going to put the Sangu Mandanna one on my list, but the UK cover doesn’t have flowers on it!

    Have a great week!

      1. It is. It must all be research based, but I do get cover envy! I also find it a nuisance when I’m looking for books and don’t recognise them because I’ve only been seeing the US version 🤣

  6. ohh I’m now kind of intrigued by the Marion Lane books, since I like historical mysteries and would like to read more of them! Are they good? The Tea Dragon Society is one I’ve been wanting to read for a while, it looks so cute! The Last Garden in England has also caught my attention, great list!

    1. I think I devoured the whole Marion Lane trilogy in a month. They’re set in 1950s London, and lots of fun.
