Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana from That Artsy Reader Girl is asking us to share things that make up our perfect day. It probably sounds really sad, but I can’t think of much to say. I enjoy spending time with my husband and my kids. What we do on those days can be almost anything. So instead, this week I’m continuing my alphabet challenge focused on author names. Today, we’ll look at ten “D” author names.
You can find the “A” authors here, the “B” authors are here, and the “C” authors are here. All the authors’ images come from their websites, linked to their names. I’ve also included a book by the author.
Now let’s look at ten “D” author names!
Abi Daré
Daré grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, and uses her experiences to tell stories of strong female characters.
MaryJanice Davidson
Davidson is best known for writing paranormal romances. Sleeping with the Fishes features a mermaid who’s also a marine biologist.
Tracy Deonn
Deonn is a fangirl who wrote the books she wished she could read as a teen. The Legendborn Cycle follows Bree Matthews as she learns more about herself and her family’s connection to King Arthur.
Kate DiCamillo
DiCamillo writes books that get kids excited to read. Kids can easily connect with her characters and see themselves on the pages of her books.
Cherie Dimaline
Dimaline incorporates her Indigenous background into her stories. She writes young adult (Marrow Thieves) and adult (Empire of Wild).
Erin Dionne
Dionne writes books for kids and parents alike. No matter your age, you’re likely to see yourself in the pages of her books.
Ian Doescher
Inspired by Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and his love of Star Wars, Doescher wrote the Star Wars stories as if Shakespeare told them.
Trish Doller
Emmeline Duncan
Duncan’s preferred genre is cozy mysteries. She also writes YA novels as Kelly Garrett.
Laurent Duvernay-Tardif
Duvernay-Tardif knows what he wants and works hard to achieve it. How so? He attended medical school while playing in the NFL. Red Zone looks at his decision to step away from the NFL for a season and help those who needed it most during the pandemic. He was my favorite player on my least favorite team.
That’s ten authors I’ve read and enjoyed, with “D” names! Have you read any of these authors with “D” names? Any “D” author names you would recommend I read?
