Happy March, y’all! Yay, February is over, which means spring is right around the corner. I don’t know what the winter has been like where you are, but ours has been cold and snowy. We’ve had maybe five days since November when the temperatures have been above freezing. And don’t get me started on how much snow has fallen since then. Let’s say, I’m ready for it to be gone! But enough of me whining about the weather. Let’s get to why we’re all here, my February 2026 wrap-up, and a quick glimpse at what my March plans include.

I did stumble a bit with my TBR this month. I missed the chance to download Eleanor and the South Beach Murders by Ellen Yardley from Netgalley before it was archived. That’s what I get for not triple-checking archive dates. Ah well!
Did I read a bad book in February? No. But I did struggle, because one ruined me for books for a while. The best book I read in February was This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page. It’s my first true 5-star read of the year. My honorable mentions for the month are Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez and Keeper of Lost Children by Sadeqa Johnson.
March TBR
- Wild People Quiet by Tara Gereaux
- A Widow’s Charm by Caitlyn Paxson
February Blog Wrap-Up and March Plans
In February, I published 11 posts. Of those 11, 4 were reviews, and 4 were TTT posts. There was also a wrap-up post, a creative post where I shared my craft kit horde, and a shelf clean-up.
In September 2025, I shared my review of Pick a Color by Souvankham Thammavogsa, and it was the most popular post in February. Of the 12 posts I published in February, the most popular was my Valentine’s Day post, where I shared my favorite romances read in 2025.
What does March have in store for the blog? That’s a great question! There are five reviews and Top Ten Tuesday posts planned. Somewhere along the line, I’m hoping to write a food post and a creative post.
Personal Stuff
How was February for me on the personal front? Work is starting to settle down now that people are coming back from their time away. I think we’re down a total of two people, but one of those is a new hire. We’ve also had two people start in February, so that’s a lot of training to get done. This time around, though, I’m in the supporting role and not the one doing the training. That’s been a blessing for me.
My husband and I both enjoyed our date to see Wyrd Sisters on stage. He said it was pretty accurate to the book, which is always a good thing. I don’t think he ever thought he’d see a Terry Pratchett novel adapted into a play.
As for my big to-do at the beginning of the month? I became a Canadian citizen after living here for 17 years. And true to form, I was an emotional wreck. Now I’m waiting to get my passport so I can travel out of the country.
What is March looking like? Honestly, I have no idea! Hopefully, we can get some serious spring cleaning done. But other than that? Your guess is as good as mine.
That’s my February in a nutshell. How was your February? What was your favorite read? What are your plans for March?

My best read was also This Book Made Me Think of You!
Honestly, I was hesitant to request the ARC. I wasn’t sure it would be my kind of book. I’m glad I did get it, as it’s possibly one of my favorite all time reads.
Woo Hoo, Congratulations on becoming a Canadian citizen, Pam. I also read and enjoyed, This Book Made Me Think of You, and agree, it is amazing. Keeper of Lost Children is one I wanted to read, but couldn’t get my hands on, but I finally listened to The Yellow Wife by the same author. Happy March, I sure hope winter is over when I get back home on March 14th.
I read Yellow Wife a few years ago, and truly enjoyed it. I’m hoping to read more by her soon.
My best read in February was Ancillary Mercy by Ann Leckie, and it ruined me for other books this month. I’m glad I enjoyed it so much, but I fear that other books suffered in comparison.
Congrats on becoming a Canadian citizen!
Isn’t it great to find a book you absolutely love? But it sucks when others just can’t compare. I think I’m finally starting to get out of that mindset.
I’m glad you’re getting past the “can’t compare” mindset! I’ve been combating it by reading books that are completely different. (Nonfiction instead of science fiction.)
Huge congrats on your citizenship! I hope your weather is improving. Unfortunately I am in part of the US where we’ve got unusually warm temps this winter. It’s awful. Hope your March goes well!
