Happy Tuesday y’all! How is January working out for you? For me, it hasn’t been too bad so far. Work is a bit stressful with the new viral restrictions in place. For this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, Jana has asked us to share the most recent additions to our collections. I haven’t added much in the way of books or swag to my collection in a while. And last week, I added a few books to my TBR thanks to TTT. So instead, this week, I’m going to share 11 NetGalley ARCs I’ve been approved for.

11 NetGalley ARCs I've been Approved For in 2022

I have been approved for a couple of other ARCs that I haven’t listed here because I have mentioned them previously. And I just wanted to share some love with other books.

I will try to have the titles sorted by release date. All synopsis will be from Goodreads, and the images are from Amazon. Now let’s check out 11 NetGalley ARCs I’ve been approved for in 2022!

There’s fowl play afoot on the farm.

She’s barely scraping by on the farm’s new organic business model, and the fall festival she organized to drum up business comes to a screeching halt when the body of a prominent townswoman is discovered underneath a scarecrow in a nearby field. Worst of all, the evidence points to Shiloh’s childhood best friend, Kristy, as the prime suspect.

Between cooking up delicious treats made with her farm’s produce, convincing her cantankerous father to let her do things her own way, and dealing with a newcomer in town who could be serious competition for her customers, Shiloh doesn’t have time to wade into a murder investigation. But with a killer on the loose and suspicious activity circling closer and closer to Shiloh and the people she loves, she realizes there’s nothing to do but roll up her sleeves and get down to the dirty work of finding the killer and clearing Kristy’s name once and for all.

Once the idea takes root to quit her championship volleyball team and join the leagues of Iron Valley’s toughest teenage boys, there’s no stopping Jules from pursuing her dream. In her mind, expectations that the position will go to a male player have gone on long enough. Even as her decision creates controversy among the booster parents, school coaches, family members, and team members themselves, Jules holds strong in her beliefs.

Which is good—because when parents hear that Jules plans to participate in overnight pre-season camp with a staff of male coaches and eighty high school boys, her tryout is threatened more than ever before. Yet, nobody can deny Jules’ skills. As the youngest sister of three former high school quarterbacks, Jules knows the game. She knows what it takes to outsmart opponents, and she’s not about to let anyone count her out for being a girl.

But as the competition intensifies, Jules must choose what she wants more—to embrace girl power and lead her team on the field or be a girlfriend on the sidelines.

If she’s learned anything from made-for-TV romance movies, it’s that she’ll find love in a small town – the kind with harvest festivals, delightful but quirky characters, and scores of delectable single dudes. So when a big-city real estate magnate targets tiny Pleasant Hollow for development, Adi knows she’s found the perfect story – one that will earn her a position at a coveted online magazine, so she can finally start adulting for real…and maybe even find her dream man in the process.

Only Pleasant Hollow isn’t exactly “pleasant.” There’s no charming bakery, no quaint seasonal festivals, and the residents are more ambivalent than welcoming. The only upside is Finn Adams, who’s more mouthwatering than the homemade cherry pie Adi can’t seem to find – even if he does work for the company she’d hoped to bring down. Suddenly Adi has to wonder if maybe TV got it all wrong after all. But will following her heart mean losing her chance to break into the big time?

In Too Steep by Kate Kingsbury

  • Anticipated Release Date: August 9
  • Genre: Cozy Mystery

It seemed like a simple case: the murder of Lewis Trenton, a beachcomber who lived alone in a cabin in the Oregon hills. But the newspaper article piques the interest of Vivian Wainwright, owner of the British-style Misty Bay Tearoom. The photo accompanying the article shows Lewis’s cluttered living room, and on the shelf is a replica of Big Ben. Vivian is sure she sold the clock a week before in her shop. Who could have given the replica to Lewis?

Unable to keep from doing a bit of sleuthing, Vivian hunts down the replica in a local thrift shop, noticing that the base is missing, rendering it worthless, but just as Vivian is about to throw it in, the trash, a sparkle catches her eye. It’s a diamond, hidden away in a crevice in the clock. Vivian takes the diamond to Detective Tony Messina, who identifies it as part of a jewelry heist in Portland a month earlier. Portland police think Lewis was the fence who sold the jewels and was killed after double-crossing the thieves—but Messina doesn’t believe the story.

What was the true motive behind Lewis’s murder? How did he come upon the diamond? And what secrets can the clock tell—before the killer strikes again?

    1. When I get around to reviewing it, I’ll be having my almost 14-year-old doing most of the cooking. How else will I know if it’s good for kids?

    1. I was surprised when I realized they have cookbooks. But it makes sense; why shouldn’t they get as much love and hype as fiction?

  1. You have some great sounding books to look forward to! In Too Steep is one I would like to read someday. I hope you enjoy them all!

  2. Who doesn’t love a good brownie now and then? 🙂 Also, the ‘Movie’ novel looks like it’d be fun! Definitely something I hadn’t heard of, so I’m leaving with a new title to take a closer look at. 🙂 Hope you enjoy ALL OF THESE! Happy reading and thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week.
