Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana from That Artsy Reader Girl is asking us to share books that we’ve enjoyed that were outside of our comfort zone. No offense, but I’m not one to read much outside of my comfort zone. Sure, I’ve read a few books that could be classified as horror. But three books are not a list in my opinion. So instead, I’ve decided to share the ten graphic novels I’ve read in 2025.

I used to be a person who did not read graphic novels, but now that I have read the March books, I have realized that graphic novels can be very well done.
Maus is another graphic novel that I did not think I would be able to read, but it turned out to be very well done.
I’m curious about Maus.
The Tea Dragon Society looks so cute!
Graphic novels would be way out of my comfort zone!

I love The Tea Dragon Society! I would love my own little tea dragon. Lol.
Same!
I almost never read graphic novels, but Gender Queer was good.
I adore The Tea Dragon Society! Actually, all of K. O’Neill’s graphic novels are wonderful and I think they do such a wonderful job of capturing emotion! Gender Queer is on my TBR and I’ve heard good things about it. Great list!
I love Sarah Anderson, would love to pick up her graphic novels! If You’ll Have Me looks so cute too 🙂
I think you’d like If You’ll Have Me. It’s a sapphic romance, and perfect for fans of Heartstopper.
I read an Austen comic / graphic novel once! I thought I’d like it way more than I did but it was still fun to read something different – and so this would be another genre I could have talked about today! 🙂 Thanks for visiting my list.
I have a few graphic novels based on Agatha Christie books.
I have not read any graphic novels this year. I wouldn’t say they are out of my comfort zone, I just don’t hear about them very often.
I read Gender Queer when there was all the controversy about wanting to ban it and thought it was excellent. The Tea Dragon Society looks SO cute.
It is a very cute read. I hope to read more of the series.
I don’t think I’ve read a graphic novel, or not recently anyway. I only tend to read out my comfort zone if someone chooses it for my book group!
The book club I participate in is more of a quiet reading group, where we read for 20-30 minutes and then talk about what we’re reading for around an hour.
Gender Queer is on my list…
I love Adulthood Is a Myth! Sarah Andersen’s comics are always good for a laugh! Great list!
Her books are such fun! And so relatable.
I haven’t read any graphic novels. Your list looks really good. I’m not one to read out of my comfort zone either.
I don’t remember if I read them this year or last year, but I’ve only read two graphic novels, the 1st and 2nd installments of The Walking Dead. I liked the artwork, but i need more content than what a graphic novel can offer.
I enjoy an occasional graphic novel!
They are great break from heavy reads.
These are great graphic novel picks! I’ve read several of them—including Gender Queer, which I read just last month!
I read quite a lot of graphic novels at one point, but these days it is very rare!
OMG! “Batter” Royal 😆😆 I need it!
It was a fun read.
The Tea Dragon Society was so cute.
I totally understand that you don’t read many books outside your comfort zone. As I said in my post, most of those that I listed were book club readings, I probably would not have even touched them without that.

As a former comic book fanatic, I love graphic novels as well, Pam. Some of these sound so wonderful. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog last week.
