Happy Tuesday y’all! Spring starts in a week; how is that possible? Of course, that’s just what the calendar says for some of us, not what nature says. This week’s TTT from Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl is our Spring 2022 TBR. I will be listing books I hope to read from April-June 2022.

Spring 2022 TBR: 10 Books I Hope to Read Apr 1-Jun 30.

How did my Winter TBR go? Pretty well if I do say so myself! Out of the ten books I listed, I have read eight. There are still a couple of weeks left in March, so hopefully, I will get those last two books read. How did your previous seasonal TBR work for you? Did you get to read and enjoy all the books you listed?

For this seasonal TBR, I decided to follow a similar pattern to my previous one. This quarter, I only have two ARCs to read and three books for the Buzzwords reading challenge from Books & Lala. I used Goodreads’s random search function to help fill the rest of my TBR. I am participating in the Read Christie 2022 Challenge, but they aren’t listing suggested books until the beginning of each month.

Without further ado, here is my Spring 2022 TBR!

Book 1: As Seen on TV by Meredith Schorr

Emerging journalist Adina Gellar is done with dating in New York City. If she’s learned anything from made-for-TV romance movies, it’s that she’ll find love in a small town – the kind with harvest festivals, delightful but quirky characters, and scores of delectable single dudes. So when a big-city real estate magnate targets tiny Pleasant Hollow for development, Adi knows she’s found the perfect story – one that will earn her a position at a coveted online magazine, so she can finally start adulting for real and maybe even find her dream man in the process.

Only Pleasant Hollow isn’t exactly “pleasant.” There’s no charming bakery, no quaint seasonal festivals, and the residents are more ambivalent than welcoming. The only upside is Finn Adams, who’s more mouthwatering than the homemade cherry pie Adi can’t seem to find – even if he does work for the company she’d hoped to bring down. Suddenly Adi has to wonder if maybe TV got it all wrong after all. But will following her heart mean losing her chance to break into the big time?

Book 2: Out of His League by Caroline Richardson

Gretchen Harper has always been practical. Dependable, solid, predictable. She’s never taken risks, and she’s especially never bought coffee for gorgeous professional athletes in airports. That is until she meets her favorite baseball player on the worst day of his career.

Being sent to the minor league is just the first of Joshua Malvern’s many worries—he’s got an injury that won’t heal, and his entire career and future are on the line. When a beautiful woman offers him coffee, that simple kindness is exactly what he needs to lift him out of his funk. He asks her to join him in first class, not expecting to end up joining her in bed.

What starts as a one-night stand ends up holding the promise for so much more. And while stepping out of her comfort zone has never been Gretchen’s style, for a chance at true love, she’ll have to decide whether she’ll swing for the fences, even if it means striking out.

Book 3: Big Girl Panties by Stephanie Evanovich

A feel-good romantic comedy. Holly Brennan didn’t expect to be a widow at 32. She also didn’t expect to be so big. Throughout her husband’s diagnosis and death, food was the one thing she could count on. Now those extra pounds make flying economy more than a little mortifying, especially since she’s sitting next to Adonis himself. Holly decides to get in shape and winds up getting her groove back – and a whole lot more!

Book 4: Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein

While flying an Allied fighter plane from Paris to England, American ATA pilot and amateur poet Rose Justice is captured by the Nazis and sent to Ravensbruck, the notorious women’s concentration camp. Trapped in horrific circumstances, Rose finds hope in the impossible through the loyalty, bravery, and friendship of her fellow prisoners. But will that be enough to endure the fate that’s in store for her?

Book 5: All the Time in the World by Caroline Angell

Charlotte, a gifted and superbly trained young musician, has been blindsided by a shocking betrayal in her promising career when she takes a babysitting job with the McLeans, a glamorous Upper East Side Manhattan family. At first, the nanny gig is just a way of tiding herself over until she has licked her wounds and figured out her next move as a composer in New York; she doesn’t mean to stay with the family for long. But, as the reader quickly becomes aware, Charlotte is naturally gifted with children and as deeply fond of the two little boys as they are of her.

When an unthinkable tragedy leaves the McLeans bereft, Charlotte is not the only one who realizes that she’s the key to holding little George and Matty’s world together. She finds herself facing an impossible choice between her lifelong dreams and a torn-apart family she’s come to love as her own.

Book 6: Amanda’s Wedding by Jenny Colgan

Amanda’s old school friends, Mel and Fran, are shocked when the social-climbing queen of mean announces her engagement to a laird (Scottish lord). It doesn’t matter that Fraser McConnald has worn the same pair of Converse sneakers for the last three years and that his castle is a pile of rubble with one gas heater—she’ll be the wife of an actual laird! But Mel and Fran can’t just sit back and let the sweet and gentle Fraser marry Amanda, especially since Mel had a huge crush on him back in University. Something must be done!

Joining forces with Fraser’s adorable younger brother Angus, they set out to sabotage this mismatch of the century. So between fighting off the attentions of a love-crazed accountant, keeping Fran’s deadly maneuvers’ with the opposite sex under control, and trying to win her own war of love with her aspiring rock-star beau, Mel finds herself preparing for a wedding that’s everything you’d wish on your worst enemy.

Book 7: Without a Brew by Ellie Alexander

It’s winter in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth, Washington, which for local brewmaster Sloan Krause means lots of layers, pine and citrus-flavored craft beers, and getting the new guest rooms at Nitro into pristine condition before visitors flood in for IceFest–a local tradition filled with fireworks, ice carving, and winter games of all varieties. But Sloan and her boss Garrett quickly learn that being brewkeepers turned innkeepers may not be as idyllic as it sounded.

While one couple staying with them seems completely smitten, a flashy group arrives in the evening demanding rooms. Sloan and Garrett are less than impressed but agree to rent to them anyway. The night takes a turn when brewery patron Liv Paxton finishes her frothy pint and, with no previous plan for an overnight stay in Leavenworth, eagerly takes Sloan up on the offer of sanctuary from the snow–until she has a strange run-in with some locals and the other guests. Sloan could be imagining things, but when Liv’s room is found trashed the next morning, a hateful message painted on her car, and Liv herself is nowhere to be found, Sloan is convinced another mystery is brewing. With many of the potential suspects hunkering down under Nitro’s roof, she knows her co-workers and friends won’t be safe until she serves up the killer a hoppy pint of justice.

Book 8: The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle

At one point or another, we’ve all been asked to name five people, living or dead, with whom we’d like to have dinner. Why do we choose the people we do? And what if that dinner was to actually happen?

When Sabrina arrives at her thirtieth birthday dinner, she finds at the table not just her best friend but also three significant people from her past, and well Audrey Hepburn. As the appetizers are served, wine poured, and dinner table conversation begins, it becomes clear that there’s a reason these six people have been gathered together.

Book 9: Between a Book and a Hard Place by Denise Swanson

Five-and-dime store owner Devereaux “Dev” Sinclair moved to Shadow Bend for her family. But when her long-lost mother shows up in town, she realizes too much kin can be killer.

Shadow Bend’s library closed years ago because of budgetary problems, so when a wealthy benefactor offers to reopen it, everyone, including Dev, is thrilled. But Dev’s excitement wanes when she realizes the mysterious donor is actually her runaway mother, Yvette’s latest husband, Jett Benedict.

Dev suspects that Yvette and Jett’s intentions aren’t as noble as they appear, but before she can discover what they’re really up to, Jett turns up dead—and all clues point to Yvette as the prime suspect.

Even though Dev has no loyalty to Yvette, she’s in a bind. Setting the record straight could prove her mother is a killer. But doing nothing might get her mother booked for a crime she didn’t commit.

Book 10: The Victoria in My Head by Janelle Milanes

Victoria Cruz inhabits two worlds: In one, she is a rock star, thrashing the stage with her husky voice and purple-streaked hair. In the other, currently serving as her reality, Victoria is a shy teenager with overprotective Cuban parents who sleepwalks through her life at the prestigious Evanston Academy. Unable to overcome the whole paralyzing-stage-fright thing, Victoria settles for living inside her fantasies, where nothing can go wrong, and everything is set to her expertly crafted music playlists.

But after a chance encounter with an unattainably gorgeous boy named Strand, whose band seeks a lead singer, Victoria is tempted to turn her fevered daydreams into reality. To do that, she must confront her insecurities and break away from the treadmill that is her life. Suddenly, Victoria is faced with the choice of staying on the path she’s always known and straying off-course to find love, adventure, and danger.

And that concludes my Spring 2022 TBR! And if my reading keeps up as it has recently, I’ll be reading more books than these. Why do I say that? A perk of the job I have, and the shift I work, we’re slow so that I can read! Yay! Another great thing is that I currently have access to these books. And that means I can read them when I’m ready!

What books are on your seasonal TBR this time around? I would love to know!

  1. I started out over achieving on the BooksAndLala challenge in the first month, but since then none of the books I want to read fit the buzzwords. Maybe I’ll just go back later and put in all the books that fit no matter when I read them.

  2. I cannot BELIEVE it’s mid- March already! Anyway nice list. Victoria sounds fun, I always love a story that incorporates bands or rock music.

  3. You did so well with your winter TBR! Without A Brew sounds great—I love the punny cosy mystery titles 😍 I hope you enjoy all of these books!

  4. A lot of these look like so much fun. I love romances so I’ll be adding a few of these to my own never-ending TBR. 🙂

  5. I’ve heard good things about Rosie Under Fire! I hope you enjoy all of your reads!! Happy reading! 🙂

  6. I have heard several people say how they looked at their winter list, face palm, didn’t even think about it, but it’s a great idea. I hope you enjoy these when/if you get to them and good luck finishing the last two from winter.

  7. I’ve enjoyed all the books I’ve read by Colgan, which isn’t as many as it should be! Her books are just so fun. I also really like the Sloan Krause series. The Swanson series sounds like one I need to try. I hope you enjoy all these!

    Happy TTT!

  10. I don’t think I’ve heard of or seen “As Seen on TV” around, but aww, how cute does it sound? Definitely one I’ll have to take a closer look at. Thanks for sharing and for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week! I appreciate this. 🙂
