It’s March, and it seems to be a bit of a lamb here in my part of the world. Fingers crossed that it stays that way for the rest of the month. February was a bit of a strange month for me as I didn’t do much in the way of blogging because of an illness and injury in the household. Add to that the fact I am still trying to find my footing with my work schedule. That’s not to say I didn’t have a good month reading, though, as there was plenty of reading time at work! So let’s take a look at my reading wrap up February 2022!

Reading Wrap Up February 2022

Reading Wrap Up February 2022

Looking back at my January wrap-up, I only read three of the six books I listed for my February TBR. Well, technically, I read 3.5 as one took me a bit longer to get into than I had hoped. Even with that hiccup, I still managed to read eight books. Of the eight books I read, two were ARCs, one was for a challenge, and two are part of the CBC Canada Reads 2022 shortlist.

For more information about each book, the titles will take you to Goodreads, and the images will take you to Amazon.

What Did I Read in February 2022?

  1. Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey
  2. This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron
  3. Washington Black by Esi Edugyan
  4. Looking for Jane by Heather Marshall
  5. Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie
  6. Scarborough by Catherine Hernandez
  7. The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary
  8. Gridiron Girl by Tamara Girardi

A Brief Description of Books I Read in February 2022

Waiting for Tom Hanks: A small town rom-com lover is looking for her “perfect” man, yet is afraid to do things to help her find him. One day she crashes into a man with the reputation of being a playboy and dumps her coffee all over him. A cute rom-com that is the first in a series.

This Poison Heart: A teen suddenly inherits an estate from a family she never knew, one that may answer questions about who she is. The first in a duology.

Washington Black: Washington Black is a young black boy in 1830s Barbados; sure he would live and die on the plantation he has known his entire life. Then one day, two brothers from England arrive, and Washington’s life is forever changed. For a further review, click here.

Looking for Jane: One day, while at work, Angela finds a letter addressed to a woman she’s never met but reveals a family secret. Angela realizes she needs to find the correct person. But is it something she should meddle in? For a further review, click here.

Death on the Nile: Hercule Poirot is on vacation in Eqypt when he finds himself in the middle of a love gone wrong, one that ends with a socialite dead. But who is the murderer?

Scarborough: A look into a low-income, culturally diverse neighborhood east of Toronto. For a further review, click here. It has recently been made into a movie with multiple award nominations.

The Flatshare: Leon needs money and isn’t home often, so he decides to share his one-bedroom flat. Tiffy needs a place to live yet doesn’t have much money.

Gridiron Girl: Julia Medina is a high school senior who wants to try something differenJulia’sa’s three brothers have led their high school football teams to success on the field, and Julia has always been on the sideline. She wants to try it herself, but will the team and family support her?

March 2022 TBR

I have two ARCs I still need to read that are leftover from my February TBR. Then I will also be continuing on two different reading challenges. One is Read Christie 2022 from the Official Agatha Christie website, and the other is a Buzzwords Challenge from Kayla over at Books and Lala. And I have two books left to read for CBC Canada Reads 2022.

And that is my Reading Wrap up for February 2022 and a small sample of my March TBR. How was your reading in February? What’s on your March TBR?

  1. Nice list of books. Thanks for the reminder that I need to read The Flatshare.

  2. I didn’t blog much this past month either. I’m excited for Death on the Nile with the new movie out- I think I’m gonna read it and then see the movie. 🙂

  3. This Poison Heart is still on my TBR, though at this point I may just wait for the sequel to come out and then read them both together. I mean, since I’ve already procrastinated the first book this long… Sounds like you have some fun reads planned for March!
