Happy February, y’all! January is finally over, yay! I mean that in the best way; I can’t be the only person who thought it lasted six months. But it’s over now, and it’s a brand new month! So, why don’t we get to the reason we’re all here, my January 2026 Wrap-Up, and a quick look at my February plans?

Let’s hear it for an easy TBR! I love it when there are only a few books; it makes life SO much easier. My daughter was excited, because I read one of her favorite books for her birthday month. While I enjoyed it, I don’t think it converted me to being a fan of The X-Files. Oh well!
I don’t think I read a bad book in January; they were all at least a 3.75. But my favorite read, the one I had the most fun with, was The Arctic Cruise by Caroline James. Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez was close behind. Honestly, I feel you couldn’t go wrong with either book.
February TBR
- This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page
- Keeper of Lost Children by Sadeqa Johnson
- Maybe This Once by Sophie Sullivan
- Eleanor and the South Beach Murders by Ellen Yardley
January Blog Wrap-Up and February Plans
In December, I published 12 posts. Of those 12, 4 were reviews, and 4 were TTT posts. There was also a couple of wrap-up posts, a creative post where I shared my journal for the year, and a shelf clean-up.
In September 2022, I started my alphabet series, sharing titles that started with the letter A, which was also the most popular post overall in January. Of the 12 posts I published in December, the most popular was my Anticipated Canadian releases for January-June.
What does February have in store for the blog? That’s always a great question! There are four reviews and four TTT posts planned. Somewhere along the line, there will be a creative post and quite possibly a food post as well.
Personal Stuff
How did January go for us? Work was stressful, being down 7 people may not seem like a lot until you take into account that there are only 20 of us on site. Fingers crossed things get better on that front in February.
At the end of the month, our baby turned 18. We have no idea how that happened. Where did the time go? She and her friend had a lot of fun at the concert. It was a first for both of them, and within 10 minutes of seeing me afterwards, they informed me they wanted to go to another concert in March. How did I spend my Saturday night while they were singing? Sitting in the hotel room, shivering. Why did the concert have to be in January, on one of the coldest weekends of the month? Oh well, they had fun, and that’s the most important part.
What does February have in store for me? I have a big to-do at the beginning of the month. And then my husband and I have a date on Valentine’s Day to watch Wyrd Sisters on stage. Oh, and the push-up challenge I participated in last year. I want to give it a go again this year. Will I be able to complete 2000 push-ups this year? Only one way to know for sure!
That’s my January in a nutshell. How was your January? What was your favorite read? What are your plans for February?

You’ve had a busy month!
Wow, that would have been crazy busy at work. I also loved The Arctic Cruise, Pam. January went way too fast for me, probably because I am away for the winter and the sunshine and pool time make the days zoom by. Happy February!
I’m jealous that you got to be some where with warmth and sunshine, especially in the past few weeks when it was -20C for highs.
I am very lucky, and truly blessed, Pam.
Sounds like January was a full month! I do love easy TBR lists like that.
Yay for crushing your January TBR! The books you read look fun.
