Happy Thursday, y’all! It’s been ages since I’ve done a book tag. I thought December would be a great time to start again, especially when I found this book tag at Books Are 42. Book tags are typically quick question-and-answer posts; what’s not to love about that, especially during the busy holiday season? Five-holiday drinks compared to five books I’ve read? Sure thing! Who’s curious about the holiday drinks book tag: 2024 edition?

Holiday Drinks Book Tage: 2024 Editon

I am using only books I read in 2024 for my answers. All titles will take you to the book’s Goodreads page.

So, let’s check out my holiday drinks book tag 2024 edition.

Hot Chocolate

Marshmallows and Chocolate and Whipped Cream, Oh My! Recommend A Book That’s Sweet Through and Through.

The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews

  • Genre: Romance, Christmas
  • Release Date: September 2021
  • My Thoughts: 1000% Hallmark movie

Peppermint Mocha

The Flavor of Peppermint Is Strong and Distinct. Recommend A Book with A Lot of Strong Emotions.

The Woman They Could Not Silence by Kate Moore

  • Genre: Nonfiction, Women’s Health
  • Release Date: June 2021
  • My Thoughts: It’s disturbing what women went through in Elizabeth Packard’s lifetime and how she was treated until recently. What’s more disturbing is that 160+ years later, not all that much has changed.

Apple Cider

It’s So Good, It Can’t Be Good for You, But It’s from Apples — That Means It’s Healthy, Right? Recommend A Book Full of Characters with Questionable Morals.

Holmes, Marple, & Poe by James Patterson and Brian Sitts

  • Genre: Mystery
  • Release Date: January 2024
  • My Thoughts: Who are Holmes, Marple, and Poe? What secrets do they have? Are they criminal investigators or just criminals?

Eggnog

It’s Creamy and Smooth with A Little Spice, And Some People Even Add Alcohol to It. Recommend A Book That’s Mostly Fun with Just a Hint of Danger.

Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer

  • Genre: Fantasy, Romance
  • Release Date: August 2023
  • My Thoughts: Keep working for the village creep or work for the village villain? Or is he the villain?

Gingerbread Latte

A Drink with A Veritable Explosion of Spices. Recommend A Book with A Lot of Action.

Death at the Sanatorium by Ragnar Jonasson

  • Genre: Mystery, Historical Fiction
  • Release Date: January 2019 (in Icelandic), September 2024 (in English)
  • My Thoughts: Right from the first page, you’re in a mystery.

Those are my answers to the holiday drinks tag. Consider yourself tagged! Let me know if you complete the tag; I would love to know your answers.
