Happy Thursday, y’all! This week’s book tag examines my Goodreads shelves and habits. I found this tag over at Books Are 42, and they found it on Zezee with Books. I believe Fred Weasley Died Laughing on YouTube created the tag. So, who wants to see my version of the Goodreads book tag 2025 edition?

Goodreads Book Tag 2025 Edition

All titles are linked back to Goodreads.

Let’s check out my Goodreads Book Tag-2025 edition!

What was the last book you marked as “read”?

  • Title: The Day I Left You by Caroline Bishop
  • Genre: Historical Fiction

What are you currently reading?

What was the last book you marked as “TBR”?

  • Title: Between Us by Mhairi McFarlane
  • Genre: Romance
  • Release Date: August 2023

What books do you plan to read next?

  • Title: Get Lost with You by Sophie Sullivan
  • Genre: Romance
  • Release Date: February 2025

Do you use the star rating system?

I do use the star rating system, though maybe not in the way they intend it to be used. I will round the star rating up or down, depending on how I feel about the book. If the rating is .5 or above, I will round up. If it is below .5, then I round down. I add that to my review so everyone knows I’m not giving a book the star rating it shows.

Are you doing a 2025 reading challenge?

The only challenge I am doing through Goodreads this year is setting my goal of 52 books. I know I will have no issues reaching that goal, as it is a book a week. But I will not change it once I achieve it because I don’t want to be pressured.

Do you have a wishlist?

I don’t have a wishlist set up on Goodreads. However, I have a couple of wishlists on local bookstore websites I will share with my family for gift-giving ideas. I’m afraid to know how many are actually on there.

What book do you plan to buy next?

Typically, I don’t plan book purchases. I go with the flow when I’m in the store, and if something jumps out at me and says, “Buy me,” I’ll probably buy it.

Do you have any favorite quotes? Would you like to share a few?

Sadly, I don’t collect quotes. I wish I could, but I’m not I’m kind of person to do that.

Who are your favorite authors?

In recent years, this list has grown a lot.

  • Agatha Christie
  • Ian Fleming
  • Rick Riordan
  • Jenny Colgan
  • Phaedra Patrick

Have you joined any groups?

I’m not sure if I have. If I joined any groups on Goodreads, it was a long time ago, and I no longer participate.

Who do you tag?

To the person reading this post–tag you’re it!

And that’s the Goodreads Book Tag-2025 Edition. What book did you recently finish reading? What book is next on your TBR? If you complete the Goodreads Book Tag, I would love to see your answers.
