Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl set today’s topic as a Love freebie in honor of Valentine’s Day later this week. I decided to keep with my 2024 highlights and share my twelve favorite romances read in 2024. Some of the books may have been released in 2024, but several are older than that.

Favorite Romances Read in 2024

Before we get too far into this week’s post, I want to apologize for not hopping around to many blogs last week. And for being slow to like and comment on the comments on my post. My mind was not on blogging. Between my youngest daughter having a procedure (she recovered quicker than I did) and stress from work, my heart and brain were elsewhere.

I’ll share these in the order I read them. All were at least a 4-star read for me. All titles are linked to Goodreads.

  1. Hope your daughter is feeling better after her procedure and that work stress has lessened. Love your list. The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern and The Christmas Countdown caught my eye this week. Hope you have a wonderful day, Pam.

  2. I hope your daughter’s recovery is going smoothly and that work gets less stressful! I adored Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute and I’ve been keen to read the second book in Wesley’s series so I’m excited to see it made your list of 2024 romance faves! I actually had her first book on my list today 🙂

    1. She bounced back in a matter of hours, me and her dad not so much! Thankfully it was more of a test than anything, but she had to have anesthesia for the first time so that was the scariest bit. As for work, it’s looking like it will be the end of the month before things settle down. I hope you enjoy Wesley’s book when you get it it.
      Pam

  3. I haven’t read any of these, but just wanted to say that I’m very glad to hear that your daughter’s procedure went well and she’s recovering quickly. I hope you are doing alright and taking some time for self-care – my little had a procedure a while ago and it was one of the most stressful, unreal, visceral experiences of my life. It’s so difficult, much harder than having something happen to yourself, especially when they are too little to really understand what’s happening (not sure on ages, but if this is the case it’s extra hard!). I hope you both have some time for cuddles and emotional recovery, and I’m wishing you both well!

    1. She’s just turned 17, but it’s the first time she’s every really had to spend any time at the hospital. Thankfully it was an outpatient thing. Now we just wait for the results. With her sister, I had to spend the night in the hospital a couple of times and that was super stressful! But she rarely turns down snuggles and cuddles. She often requests them at the most inopportune time. LOL!
      Pam

  4. The Love Elixir publishers didn’t get the memo of what the covers were supposed to look like. Ha! Eve notice how all covers seem to morph into one eventually?

  5. I read my first book by Sophie this past week and enjoyed it! Now I want to read more of hers. Helene’s looks really interesting too. One I’ll have to add to my next-book-order cart. 🙂 Thanks for visiting my list; hope things are calmer for you now.

    1. They are slowly getting better. This week’s stressor is the weather. UGH! While I like winter, I HATE getting a ton of snow in one go.
      Pam

  6. Pam, I haven’t read these, but the cover’s are so cute I’m definitely interested. I am so glad your daughter is doing better. I know that stress and it’s never fun.

  7. Hope your daughter is recovering well and you are having an easier week!

Quite a few of these look good to me, especially the Jackie Lau, A Legend in the Baking and The Love Elixir.
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!

  8. These all look good to me. I don’t read enough romances to keep up with all the good ones out there! I usually listen to them instead of reading them, too, and that takes longer. Jasmine Guillory is one of my favorite romance authors. I’ve read other books by Talia Hibert and Lynda Cohen Loigman, but not the two on your list.
Understandable about the blogging taking a backseat! Hope all is well now! I’ve been struggling with travel stress and being sick, so haven’t been keeping up either.

    1. She’s doing better now. As for me, yeah I’m better where she’s concerned. Still so much stuff at work trying to take my attention.
      Pam

  9. This is an awesome list. I love that you included Talia Hibbert’s YA romance, which was so good. And The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern was another favorite of mine, too! It’s cool to see our reading overlapping a bit more than usual this week.

  10. I hope your daughter’s medical procedure went well and she’s fully recovered (and hugs to you!). This is a great list. I’ve been wanting to read something by Talia Hibbert for quite some time now. One of these days!
