Positives

- Easy-to-understand difficulty scale for the recipes.
- Tips are included with each recipe.
Negatives
- Other than the images with the recipes, there’s no real Disney connection.
- Most of the recipes aren’t specific to Christmas
My Opinions
While I don’t consider myself a Disney-adult, I am a fan of several Disney movies. As such, I was excited to read through this cookbook. I loved the colorful images; most are screenshots. And who doesn’t love photos of the finished recipe in a cookbook? In addition, there are quick tips with each recipe. There is even a chapter that includes step-by-step photos for the most difficult recipes (ie, Lunar New Year Dumplings)
The cookbook is broken down into seven chapters:
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Dinner
- Sides
- Snacks
- Beverages
- Sweets
The recipes in these chapters range in difficulty from beginner to complicated. It’s easy to tell the difficulty level of each recipe, as they are all marked with gingerbread men. The more gingerbread men, the more difficult the recipe.
While I’m interested in several of these recipes, nothing indicates they are Christmas-specific. For example, in the dinner chapter, the recipes include Lady and the Tramp Sheet Pan Meatballs and Sauce, Lightning McQueen’s Pot Pie, Woody’s Cowboy Chili, and Sheet Pan Ratatouille with Smoke Sausage. While these may be recipes that some people celebrate the holiday season, they are not the typical recipes one would expect to see in a Christmas cookbook.
Overall, if you’re looking for a Christmas cookbook, I don’t think this will check those boxes. But if you are a fan of all things Disney, this may be a great addition to your regular cookbook collection.
