Happy Friday, y’all! It’s the first Friday in December, so I’ll share some of my favorite cookies that are perfect for sharing and eating! Am I the only one who thinks that Christmas and cookies are perfect for each other? I mean, we leave milk and cookies for Santa, so of course, that means they go together.
These cookies are perfect for sharing at cookie exchanges or giving homemade gifts. Or even better, eating at home while watching your favorite holiday special. The cookie’s name will take you to the recipe.
Let’s see what Christmas cookies are perfect for sharing and eating!
Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies from Lorie at lemons + zest
My family loves these cookies so much that I wrote a blog post about them. You can find that here if you want to take a quick look.
These cookies are better than chocolate chip cookies because of the added candy cane bits. If you make only one cookie from this list, make it this one. Trust me, you’ll need to make multiple batches throughout the month.
Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies from Lindsay at Life, Love and Sugar
Are you looking for an alternative to regular oatmeal cookies? Look no further than these apple cinnamon oatmeal cookies. I’ve used this recipe several times for my local fair and won a ribbon yearly.
Jello Cookies from Carrie at Eating on a Dime
These cookies are fun and colorful! They’re perfect for any occasion.
Cardamom Chocolate Chip Cookies from Debs at Salted Mint
Adding cardamom to the chocolate chip cookies elevates them, making these a grown-up cookie.
Homemade Vanilla Wafers from Amanda at I Am Baker
That’s right. You can make vanilla wafers at home for banana pudding or dip them in tea or hot chocolate while watching your favorite holiday movie. Just a word of warning: this recipe uses a few ingredients but makes a lot of cookies. You may not want to make a double batch.
Haystack Cookies from Fiona at Just So Tasty
It’s a no-bake oatmeal cookie that doesn’t use peanut butter. In under an hour, you have delicious chocolate cookies!
Coal Rice Krispy Treats from Summer at Mallow and Co
This is another no-bake recipe; you probably have all the ingredients in your house right now. How are these like coal? The addition of crushed Oreos.
Laura Bush’s Cowboy Cookies from Teresa at Can’t Stay Out of the Kitchen
These cookies could be called Everything But the Kitchen Sink. They have pecans, coconut, chocolate chips, oatmeal, and cinnamon.
Candy Cane Shortbread Cookies from Chris at The Cafe Sucre Farine
An easy shortbread cookie recipe that can be covered with sprinkles and topped with Hershey Kisses. Yum!
Coca-Cola Cookies from Lisa at Simple Joy
Soft cookies made with Coca-Cola. Even the frosting is made with Coca-Cola.
Those are ten of my favorite cookie recipes, perfect enough to be called Christmas cookies and perfect enough for sharing and eating. What are some of your favorite Christmas cookies? What cookies will you be sharing with friends and family?

😋😋😋
I didn’t inherit any of the baker genes (there were several bakers among my ancestors) of the family, they went to some of my siblings, so I will forward these to them and see if they can come up with something 😉

I have a Cream Cheese Christmas Cookie recipe that I make every year to share with family. They’re always a big hit. And then we also always make candy cane shaped cookies (white & red dough twisted together) because they’re so festive.
Those sound fantastic!

I am planning to do some Christmas cookies later this week! We’ll see how they turn out!
