Happy April, y’all! How was your March? Has spring finally decided to show up for you? For me, March was a bit all over the place. And I’m not so sure how April is going to go. We shall see, I suppose. In the meantime, who wants to see my March 2026 wrap-up and what my April may look like?

My March TBR was an easy one to finish; it’s great when there’s only a couple of books on it. I managed to knock a book off my seasonal TBR as well. Somehow, I ended up with a lot of ARCs to read in April, and since I knew my April would be a bit crazy, I decided to get a head start on them, too. Surprisingly, I managed to all but eliminate my April TBR. Yay!
Did I read a bad book in March? Kind of. What I mean is that I did have a couple of DNFs. Unfortunately, one of those was an ARC. I really wanted to give the book a chance, but I wasn’t connecting with it as much as I had hoped.
Did I read a good book in March? I would recommend any of the books I finished. I’m not sure how I’ll pick my favorite as I had two that I rated as 4.75 stars (Love by the Book by Jessica George and Cleo Dang Would Rather Be Dead by Mai Nguyen) and two that I rated as 4.5 stars (A Widow’s Charm by Caitlyn Paxson and The Keeper of Lost Causes by Jussi Adler-Olsen).

March Blog Wrap-Up & April Plans
In March, I published 12 posts. Of those 12, 5 were reviews, and 5 were TTT posts. There was also a wrap-up post and a shelf clean-up.
In September 2025, I shared my review of Pick a Color by Souvankham Thammavogsa, and it was the most popular post in March. It tied with the first post of my Alphabet challenge, Ten Books Starting with the Letter A, which I shared in September 2022. Of the 12 posts I published in March, the most popular was one where I shared my favorite historical fiction reads for 2025.
What does April have in store for the blog? I’m not 100% sure. I am planning on having four reviews and four Top Ten Tuesday posts. I’m hoping to have a goal check-in and possibly a tag, too. A lot depends on what I can schedule.
Personal Stuff
March was a tad chaotic at work, as we have been training three new people. That means we are finally filling the holes that were created in December. It’s just unfortunate that it has taken so long. My daughter had Spring break in the middle of March. And on her first day back to school, she managed to fall up the stairs and split her knee open. Thankfully, nothing is broken, but she did end up with four staples to help close it up.
April is probably going to be a tad crazy as well. Why? Other than having Easter early in the month, I am heading south for a week. It will be the fifth anniversary of my dad’s passing, and I wanted to be there for my mom and to help her work on the house. She had wanted to move within the year of his passing, but life had other ideas. I’ll be taking a solo road trip for the first time in over 25 years. You better believe I’m a tad nervous. And then when I return, one of my coworkers will be in Europe for two weeks. You better believe I’m jealous because he’s helping his brother move to Sweden.
That’s my March in a nutshell. How was your March? What was your favorite read? What are your plans for April?

It definitely looks like you had a good reading month, Pam. I will be reading A Widow’s Charm over the next week. I hope your presence will bring your mother comfort. Happy April and Happy Easter.
Sounds like March is a good month! Here’s hoping April is, too.
The Secret, Book, & Scone Society is one I’ve been meaning to read. Thanks for the tip that it’s a little darker than many cozies.
