Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana, over at That Artsy Reader Girl, asks us to share the ten most recent additions to our book collection or TBR. Instead, I decided to share my 2024 Reading Google Map. Who wants to see where I traveled in 2024 through books?
It feels funny to write a book-related post without mentioning any books! Instead, I’m sharing where I traveled through my reading in 2024. I have started my 2025 Google Maps and hope to travel more diversely than in 2024. Last year, I shared my 2023 Reading Google Map; that post is here. In my post last year, I shared the steps of creating my reading maps if anyone is curious.
Overall 2024 Reading Google Map
Below is a screenshot of the entire map. All of those blue pins are where I traveled in 2024. There are 95 pins in total on this map.
Sadly, I didn’t visit Africa, the Middle East, Central America, or South America in 2024. I hope to rectify this in 2025.
North American Stops on the Journey
As you can see below, I made several stops in North America in 2024. I was pleasantly surprised to make two stops in Alaska and one in Hawaii.
I made four stops in the Pacific Northwest, mainly in the Portland and Seattle areas. I managed to find six books in my area of Ontario, Canada. Admittedly, four of those six are in Toronto. Surprisingly, I only made two stops in New York City. I count that as a win for me!
European Stops in 2024
I also made several stops in Europe in 2024. There are a few places I didn’t visit that I hope to get to visit in 2025.
I’m excited to say I got to visit three of the six Nordic countries in 2024, with three stops in Iceland alone. The UK was a popular destination, as was France. Of the seven stops in France, only one is in Paris. I made a surprise stop in Jersey and the Greek Isles.
Asia Stops in 2024
I made four stops in Asia in 2024, and only one was due to a manga.
Australia Stops in 2024
Initially, I was going to label this section Oceania stops, but then I realized I only went to Australia. Whoops! But I did make three stops there. So it still counts, right?

I have never made a reading map, but how cool.
What a fun change of topic. It would be so interesting to see where I travelled to through books although I feel that my 2024 map would look fairly similar to yours! Might save this one for a future rogue day topic if you don’t mind 🙂
