Happy Tuesday y’all! This week, Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl has deemed today’s topic a Thankful Freebie in honor of the American Thanksgiving holiday. In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in October, though my house also celebrates the American one. Yay for two food-centric holidays in two months! So, to celebrate the food side of the holiday, I thought I would share a feast of food-related books!

A Feast of Food-Related Books for everyone in the family.

This feast of food-related books contains something for everyone! These books are all ones that I have read and enjoyed. Food may not be the story’s main point, but it plays an important part.

All titles will lead to Goodreads.

Now, let’s have a feast of food-related books!

Picture Books

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff

Middle-Grade

Close to Famous by Joan Bauer | The Thing About Leftovers by C.C. Payne

Young Adult

A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow by Laura Taylor Namey | A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher

Contemporary

The Coincidence of Coconut Cake by Amy E. Reichert | Baking Cakes in Kigali by Gaile Parkin

Historical Fiction

The Kitchen Front by Jennifer Ryan

Romance

Fake It Till You Bake It by Jamie Wesley | For Butter or Worse by Erina La Rosa | How to Change a Life by Stacey Ballis

Mystery

Up to No Gouda (Grilled Cheese Mysteries #1) by Linda Reilly | Two Parts Sugar, One Part Murder by Valerie Burns

Holiday

The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox

And that is a feast of food-related books! Have you read any of these? Are there any that I missed? And Happy Thanksgiving!

A Feast of Food-Related Books for everyone in the family.

  1. Yay! Glad to see you have some mysteries in your list. With cozy mysteries, i think they all have food, lol. I haven’t read “Up To No Gouda” yet, but it’s on my list.

  2. Great pick of topic! I loved Fake It Till You Bake It and I can’t wait to read For Butter or Worse. Kingfisher’s book is also on my TBR and I’m keen to check it out. 😍

  3. This list makes me hungry. 🙂 My former neighbors were from Canada and also celebrated two Thanksgivings. I guess it sucks to have family living in different countries because people can’t all get off work at the same time.

  4. I love that you celebrate both American and Canadian Thanksgiving! How fun is that? My ancestors came from Scotland and settled in Nova Scotia before migrating to the U.S. I think that’s reason enough to start celebrating both in my home, too 🙂

    Happy TTT!

  5. What a great list – I love what you did with this week’s freebie, and I hope you enjoy (second) Thanksgiving! I loved Up to No Gouda, and I’m always a sucker for a good cozy mystery with a food-themed title, so it was especially nice to see one of my favorites featured this week.

  6. What an entertaining way to present a collection of food books! I’ve read Kitchen Front and quite enjoyed it. Hope all these foody books portend great things for your family feast! Thanks for the visit & have a terrific week.

  7. What a great post, Pam. I have read many of these and love your list. I am in Ontario and also celebrate both holidays. There can never be enough days to be thankful.

  8. Love your list of books.. from the picture book to the very last one 🙂 I have read just a couple of them and now am tempted – both by the books and the food 🙂 Here is my TTT

  9. Maggie Knox and Laura Taylor Namey are both authors on my list (and with books on my shelf) who I want to read. Must make this happen at some point! Thanks so much for visiting my website on this week. 🙂
