Happy Tuesday, y’all! It’s that time again. What time is it? It’s time to share our seasonal TBR. Jana, over at That Artsy Reader Girl, asks us to share a seasonal TBR every quarter. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, that means our Summer 2024 TBR. For my Summer 2024 TBR, I will list books I hope to read from July to September 2024.

Summer 2024 TBR: Ten Books I Hope to Read July-September

How did my Spring TBR go? Not too terribly, honestly! I read four of the ten books I listed, and I may finish at least one more. I also DNFed one.

In 2024, I plan to focus more on reading my current TBR instead of trying to read all the new books. I have come up with ten categories of books that I want to focus on each quarter. All of these books currently reside on my physical bookshelf, so I have no excuse not to read them.

All titles are linked to Goodreads.

Without further ado, here is my Summer 2024 TBR!

And that concludes my Summer 2024 TBR! Hopefully, I’ll be reading more books than these. Why do I say that? Because I currently have access to these books. And that means I can read them when I’m ready!

How did your Spring 2024 TBR go? What books are on your Summer 2024 TBR? I would love to know!

  1. I loved The Thursday Murder Club. Years since I read White Fang but remember I liked that too. And The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie is fantastic! Happy summer reading 😎📚

    1. I actually stumbled across the adaptation last month for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. It left me a little confused, so I hope the book can clear that up some.

      Pam

  2. I need to read more books off my pre-2024 TBR but I have no self control! I might read a Jack London book this year though as he fits a few of my trickier challenge prompts.

    1. I’ve been struggling this year too. I started the year off decently, and then rewarded myself by buying more books! LOL!
      Pam

  3. I need to read the second Thursday Murder Club book! I liked the first one.

    Have a great week.

  4. I have The Thursday Murder Club on my list for summer, too. I had high hopes for Bookworm, but I am having trouble getting into books right now, and I gave up on it. Good luck, Pam!

  5. I’ve heard Boy Swallows Universe is good! Women of the Post also sounds great so I think that might end up on my TBR, lol. I really enjoyed The Thursday Murder Club and I hope you do as well 🙂 Happy reading!

  6. As someone who’s seen SO many Agatha Christie adaptations, I think I should give a novel by her a chance. Also, how fun does “Bookworm” look? Definitely one I should read about. And like you, I too need to start reading more books on my shelf! 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my website today.

  7. Very good list! The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark looks very interesting. I have an Agatha Christie on mine too. I’ve watched Murdoch Mysteries, but have never read the books.

    1. I’ve only read one of the books, and I enjoyed it. But I was suprised by how different it was from the show.

      Pam

  8. I can’t remember if I made a spring TBR or if I skipped it. I should go back and look, LOL! I am also working on reading books that I own and/or have been on my TBR for a long time. I am still reading a few new books here and there…it’s so hard not to! Enjoy these when you get a chance to read them.

    1. I hope I enjoy reading both books. Maybe you’re right, that Women of the Post wasn’t want you wanted or needed at the time.
      Pam

  9. OMG Murdoch Mysteries is one of my favourite tv shows, I love that you have a novel on your tbr I’ve never read any of them! Looks like you have a very mysterious summer coming up!

    1. Murdoch Mysteries is a show that I love watching, though I haven’t seen much recently. I also enjoy watching shows and looking for landmarks I recognize, as the city I live in is often used for filming.
      Pam

      1. Yes watched most of the seasons but I’m not fully caught up on the newer seasons. Yess I agree I love seeing the city and parts I recognize too (I live where the show is set so sometimes I get bits I know too hahah)

  10. I still have The Thursday Murder Club to read as well. I started it earlier this year but I couldn’t quite get into it. But I think that might have been my mood.

  11. I listen to all the Thursday Murder Club books on audio, and loved them! Bookworm I read, but didn’t love. I think my sense of humor didn’t match the author’s!

  12. So many people have The Thursday Murder Club on their list – I might just have to check it out and see what it’s all about. Great looking list you have here, I hope you get to all of them (and more) this summer, and enjoy all of them.
