Happy Tuesday, y’all! This week, Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl is asking us to share our favorite side characters who deserve their own story. I’m not feeling that topic for a few reasons, but mainly because I don’t have the brain power at the moment to come up with a list like that. So, instead, I’m looking at the books I read in September 2023 one-word description.
Yes, I know the month isn’t over, but the end is near! So far in September, I have read nine books. And a few of them have left me with one word to describe them.
All titles are linked to Goodreads, and book covers are linked to Amazon.

I like this! I wasn’t feeling the topic either and I wasn’t very creative, LOL! Have a great day!
Good job on your post! I find it hard to distill a book down to just one word. 🙂
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
I went rogue today as well! I was so close to actually doing this topic but went with something even simpler cos my brain juice has been super low. You’ve got me looking forward to reading The Do’s and Donuts of Love and I totally agree about Heartstopper—so sweet! 😍 Great post!
With that beautiful cover for The Witch Haven, I wish it had gotten more than “Okay.” But I love one word reviews like this!
This was a fun topic to read. Here is my post-https://paigesofnovels.com/2023/09/26/top-ten-tuesday-books-with-secondary-minor-characters-that-deserve-their-own-book/
Great list! I love seeing one-word reviews like this.
I didn’t have the brainpower for this week’s official topic either: https://bookwyrmknits.com/2023/09/26/top-ten-tuesday-quotes-about-knitting/
This is such a cute idea! I haven’t read any of these, but it sounds like quite a few were very good reads. 🙂
Nice topic choice! I feel like I would struggle with this one! To limit myself to one word would be tough. I’d want at least 2-3, maybe 4 on occasion! Lol!
Thanks for visiting my TTT!
What a fun list! You have me intrigued with some of these one word descriptions as I have not read any of the books on your list.
Love this idea, I need to read more by India Holton and The Christmas Wager sounds perfect for winter
I am loving this list!
There are several here I will definitely check out starting with Reykjavik: A Crime Story and The Dos and Donuts of Love (i love donuts!)
Oh, I always love One-Word Review posts. I forget that’s an option sometimes. 😉 The Witch Haven is on my bookshelf, but I haven’t picked it up because I see so many reviews saying it’s just okay. Maybe I’ll unhaul that one… And I’m currently reading The Christmas Wager, and I agree, it’s very much like a Hallmark movie. Which I’m not minding at the moment. I needed something light. 🙂 Happy reading this week!
Heartstopper, especially the first volume, is very sweet. Like what you did this week!
