Hey, y’all! How was your October? Mine was a bit all over the place! I got to see my mom again after a year. While she was here, we celebrated Thanksgiving and my birthday. Then the week after she went home I was so sick! I can only say that it wasn’t COVID, and no one else in the house got sick. I think it’s because of my shift; I don’t get much sleep, which means my poor body doesn’t get to heal. But I got to treat myself to many new books for my birthday! I’ll share the haul in another post. This one is going to focus on my reading wrap-up October 2022 edition!

Reading Wrap-Up October 2022
October wasn’t a fantastic month, but it wasn’t too bad, either. I read seven books; four were physical, and three were audio. Oh, there was also a cookbook that I read and posted about. Because I was sick for almost a week, I didn’t read as much as I wanted. I read four of the five books I had on my TBR from my September Wrap-Up. I did start the fifth book, but it’s not holding my attention as much as I had hoped.

A Brief Description of What I Read in October 2022
Great or Nothing: A retelling of the classic Little Women set during World War II. Each of the March girls has their story told by a different author. Each chapter is labeled as to whose POV you are getting.
Anxious People: A slightly tangled read that examines what happens when a bank robber at their wit’s end takes a group hostage in an open house. Everyone has their own story and reason for being where they are at that particular moment.
Built to Last: Readers are taken to a small town in Michigan where two child stars are reuniting to film a pilot for a home reno show. Shelby returned home to Michigan after a disastrous breakup. Cameron has been traveling the world filming documentaries. Will the house survive the reunion? For a complete review, click here.
Sweet Land of Liberty: An examination of American history through 11 pies. For a complete review, click here.
The Merciless Ones: The second book in the Deathless series picks up 6-months after The Gilded Ones. Deka finds herself questioning everything she’s ever been told. Who is telling the truth?
Love at First Spite: After breaking it off with her cheating fiance, Dani feels spiteful. In need of an architect, Dani turns to the last person she ever thought would help her-Wyatt. Will they help each other move on, or will they continue to mix like oil and vinegar?
Marlowe Banks, Redesigned: Marlowe Banks is a woman trying to figure out who she is after a lifetime of not feeling like she’s enough. Along the way, she makes fierce friends and possibly finds her true passion in life. For a complete review, click here.
Comfort Baking: From successful food blogger Stephanie Wise, Comfort Baking is a collection of over 100 recipes designed to help comfort you and those you share your baking with. For a complete review, click here.
November TBR
I have two ARCs to read for November, plus my two reading challenges. One is Read Christie 2022 from the Official Agatha Christie website, and the other is a Buzzwords Challenge from Kayla over at Books and Lala. I’m unsure what book I’ll be reading for the Christie challenge as I don’t know the options for November yet. Fingers crossed, I get everything read that I want to read.
- None of This Would Have Happened If Prince Were Alive by Carolyn Prusa (ARC)
- The Lindbergh Nanny by Mariah Fredericks (ARC)
- The Trouble with Hating You by Sajni Patel (Buzzwords)
And that is my Reading Wrap-Up for October 2022 and a small sample of my November TBR. How was your reading in October? What’s on your November TBR?

The history of America as told using pies? That sounds like a really interesting take!
Happy birthday! Sorry tohear about you being sick though. I like the sound of the book set in Michigan.
I’ve got Sweet Land too via Netgalley. I’ll read your review after I finish. Nice list.
