I came across the Rapid Fire Question book tag at This Splendid Shambles. It was originally created by a BookTuber and has been adapted by many others over time. It was designed to be a quick answer series of questions. And it’s a great way for you to learn a bit more about me.
So, let’s get going!
RAPID FIRE QUESTION BOOK TAG
E-Book or Physical Book?
Physical book, I don’t have an e-reader, and not sure I really want one.
Paperback or Hardback?
Both, as long as it’s a book I can read I don’t mind it’s cover.
Online or In-Store Book Shopping?
In the current climate of the world, online, my favorite online store is BookOutlet. In-store shopping is nice as well. It depends on the store.
Trilogies or Series?
I have to go with series, as I don’t think I’ve read any trilogies.
Heroes or Villains?
Probably heroes.
A book you want everyone to read?
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Recommend an underrated book?
The Little Old Lady Who Broke All the Rules by Catharina Ingleman-Sundberg
The last book you finished?
Shooting War by Anthony Feinstein
The Last Book You Bought?
The Bucket List by Georgia Clark
Weirdest Thing You’ve Used as a Bookmark?
Probably have to go with an elastic headband. My youngest has been known to use another book as a bookmark.
Used Books: Yes or No?
Totally! The majority of books on my shelf are used.
Top Three Favorite Genres?
Young Adult, Historical Fiction, and Contemporary
Borrow or Buy?
Both, books are just too expensive to buy all that I want to read.
Characters or Plot?
Both! A book isn’t good without good characters AND a good plot.
Long or Short Books?
Define long and short! Seriously, 300-400 pages is good. Though the book I’m currently reading is over 900 pages.
Long or Short Chapters?
Again, define long and short! As long as the action is moving, and the chapter ends at a good spot.
Name The First Three Books You Think Of…
Gone With the Wind, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Cat in the Hat
Books That Makes You Laugh or Cry?
I prefer to laugh over cry, doesn’t everyone?
Our World or Fictional Worlds?
It doesn’t really matter to me. If it’s a fictional world that I can understand, that closely resemble ours, I can enjoy it. If it’s one that I have trouble connecting to, then I probably won’t enjoy it.
Audiobooks: Yes or No?
Sure, audiobooks helped me get over the funk of not having time to read when I had a long commute.
Do You Ever Judge a Book by its Cover?
Yup. If the cover doesn’t intrigue me, I’m probably not going to bother picking it up to read the synopsis.
Book to Movie or Book to TV Adaptations?
Probably have to go with book to tv. It seems like they would have more time to get it right.
A Movie or TV-Show You Preferred to its Book?
I can’t think of one. I tend to watch both without comparing it to the book (if it’s one I’ve read).
Series or Standalone’s?
Standalones, though a good series is awesome.
If you are curious about the books I mentioned along the way, just click the title and it will take you to the Goodreads page. What are your answers to these questions? Please let me know in the comments.

Love these answers! Totally agree with the TV series one; if they do it well, a series offers much more opportunity to explore the book. A 2-hour film just ain’t gonna cut it haha 🙂
