Happy February, y’all! I know I’m a little late sharing my 2025 journal set-up. Life has a way of getting in the way. My journal this year is for more than just my reading. I set some personal goals back in December, and I want a way to hold myself accountable. So, a couple of these goals have entered my journal. The same can be said for some blogging goals.

Personal goals I hope to work on in 2025 include focusing on my health, having a healthier lifestyle, and saving for a big trip in the next year or two. You can find that post here if you’re curious about my other goals. Blogging goals I hope to work on in 2025 include being more consistent in my posting and writing a variety of posts. My reading goals include reading more books I own over all the new and shiny books. You can find the post about these goals here. As I’ve got goals I want to hold myself accountable for, I’ve included them in my journal to represent my progress visually.
So, who wants to see my 2025 journal set-up?

This is the cover page for my journal this year. And honestly, I don’t like it! I was working on it at work over the holidays. As such, I had limited supplies and felt awkward working on it with others around me.
Personal Goals
Like I said above, two of my goals this year are to focus on my health and to save money.

The board game on the left is something I’ve giving a shot to help save some money. I love board games; we try to play a couple of games every weekend. Ironically, the game I used in my journal is a game I despise playing. LOL! The dollar amounts on each space are roughly based on the game. The amounts on the properties are the actual base rent from the game itself.
The right-hand tracker is for tracking my weight. Although weight isn’t a complete marker of health, I have a few health issues that would be resolved by losing weight—and one or two that would be easier to manage if I lost weight.
There’s another tracker in my journal set up, but I didn’t label what it’s for, so I didn’t take a picture of it. I believe the tracker is intended to monitor my steps and active time. I want to track these two things because I have a sedentary job and want to see if I can increase both.
Blog Goals and Trackers

This is the cover page for my blog goals and plans. The page was planned and laid out at work, but the color was added once I was home and with more supplies.

These two pages are self-explanatory, but I’ll explain nonetheless. The image on the left is for me to track my posts. Each row corresponds to the posts I hope to publish: reviews, Top Ten Tuesday, book tags, food, creative, and miscellaneous. As a post of that type is published, I color in the square. I’m not 100% certain if I want to use the same color the whole year or if I want to change it each month. What do you think?
The image on the right allows me to track my monthly stats. I could add specific labels for each square to indicate what I want to track, but I’m unsure if that’s what I want to do. Does that make sense? Maybe I’ll edit the squares as the year progresses.
![My 2025 Journal Set-Up: Socials](https://i0.wp.com/readbakecreate.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/20250113_041347.jpg?resize=640%2C862&ssl=1)
This page is a place for me to track my blog socials. Wow, worded like that, it sounds like I have a ton of socials for my blog. Honestly, I don’t, but I do want to start tracking where I’m sharing posts. I used to be good about sharing my posts on Pinterest and my personal Facebook page. I don’t think Facebook brought me any traffic, so I’ll let that slide. But I need to improve on Pinterest, which has got some traffic.

This is the cover page for my reading goals and trackers. Like the blog cover page, this one was planned and laid out at work and colored at home.

My reading log records the daily number of pages read. I’ve divided it into twenty-page ranges, and each range has been assigned a color in rainbow order.

I track my monthly stats on the Reading Stats page, including the number of books read, total number of pages, average number of pages, audiobooks, and DNFs.
The Owned Books Read page allows me to log the books I own and read. I’m not sure how I’m going to log them, though. Maybe color in a square and write the title nearby. I’m also unsure if I want to log the books I own that I DNF or just the ones I finish. What do you think?
![My 2025 Journal Set-Up: ARC Reading Progress](https://i0.wp.com/readbakecreate.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/20250113_041427.jpg?resize=640%2C839&ssl=1)

Above, you’ll find my monthly reading lists. The image on the left is the ARCs I have to read each month, along with the publication date and number of pages. In each square, I mark the percentage of the book I’ve read and then do the math to figure out the rough page. The image on the right is labeled with the month on the top. Below that are four columns to track what books I’ve read in the given month. The columns are labeled with title, number of pages, start, and finish. If there’s a DNF along the way, I write DNF in red under the finish column. Is the book an audiobook? Under the number of pages, I write audio.

Above, you’ll see my February layout. Each month’s design is identical, the only difference being the color used.
That’s my 2025 journal set-up. I would love it if it were more decorative and colorful, but that’s what I get for waiting until the last moment. Do you have a 2025 journal? What does it look like?

Amazing! 🙌 I’ve never tracked the type of posts I write…that might be an interesting stat for me this year! Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh, that’s a great way to gamify your saving! Did you just make that up on your own or is it based on a template or something? I’m always trying harder to save and I’m just really bad at doing it. 🫣 I would love to try something like this haha
