Adulthood Is a Myth by Sarah Anderson
Hana Khan Carries On by Uzma Jalaluddin
The Borrowed Life of Fredrick Fife by Anna Johnston
Review: Fun and honest look at being an adult.
Review: A young woman trying to find her voice.
Review: Sweet story with found family.
I managed to read my whole January TBR, which isn’t hard to do when there are only three books on it. Sadly, I was a little disappointed by She Doesn’t Have a Clue. I wanted to love the story, but unfortunately, it was 3.75 stars. A book I did love, though, is Holmes Is Missing, but Hana Khan Carries On, and The Borrowed Life of Fredrick Fife is close behind.
February TBR
I’m unsure how this happened, but I have five ARCs to read this month.
- Punished by Ann-Helén Laestadius
- Get Lost with You by Sophie Sullivan
- The Perfect Rom-Com by Melissa Ferguson
- The Queens of Crime by Marie Benedict
- The Day I Left You by Caroline Bishop
January Blog Wrap-Up & February Plans
January was a good blogging month. In total, I wrote 16 posts. I’m proud to say I managed to keep to my plans and wrote four reviews, four TTT posts, and a couple of food posts. My most popular post published in January was Early 2025 Most Anticipated Canadian Releases, and my most popular post overall was Ten Book Titles Starting with the Letter A.
I hope to keep the ball rolling in February with four reviews and four TTT posts. I have a couple of other posts in the works. The reviews shouldn’t be too tricky, given I have five ARCs to read next month.
Personal Stuff
We survived the month of appointments and wild weather! The first week of February continues the theme of appointments for our youngest. But I think we’re finally starting to get answers, and what more could a mom ask for?
Work was still chaotic in January. I hope it settles down in February, but I doubt it. I hope to plan for summer vacations this month, as some ideas have been dropped due to events outside of our control.
That’s my January in a nutshell. How was your January? Has your 2025 started gently or rough? What was your favorite read? What are your plans for February?

My favorite read in January was “House Of Seven Gables” by: Nathaniel Hawthorne. A weird yet fun read! 10/10 My January was full of sickness! Ugh! Hopefully February is better than January!
I hope February goes well for you and the family. I also can’t believe how fast January went by.
