Happy Tuesday y’all! How has everyone’s June been so far? Mine has been a little crazy, thus why I’ve missed the past couple of Tuesdays. But I’m back this week! Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl has named this week’s theme to be Books I Wish Had an Epilogue. In general, I’m happy with the way that most books end. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love more of those stories, but I’m not sure if an epilogue would do it justice. Instead, I will share a list of Books Mentioned in a Recent Read. I was surprised to find so many books in another book that I just had to share!
So what book have I been reading that is so full of other books? It is Phaedra Patrick’s latest release, The Messy Lives of Book People. I’m not quite through with it, but I am enjoying the book and hope to have a review in the next week or so. The titles will take you to their Goodreads page, and the images will take you to Amazon.
Authors Mentioned Without Book Titles
- Lord Byron
- Neil Gaiman
- Khaled Hosseini

An interesting idea. I find it fascinating when other books are mentioned in books. I come across it so rarely so obviously need to expand my reading!
Have a great week!

Have a great week 🌈
Honestly, the only ones I’ve read are the kids books. Though I do have Evelyn Hugo on my TBR.
What a cool post idea! I love when books are mentioned in other books, even though I don’t come across it too often.

That’s such a fun idea to have a book that mentions other books!
I love it when books are mentioned in books, especially if it’s something I’ve already read. Great topic! 😀
This is such an interesting alternative to the prompt this week! What a number of great books mentioned, too.

I do love when books talk about other books and have seen my TBR expand because of it! Great topic for today.
This is a fun take! I loved Big Little Lies soit would be neat to see that mentioned, and I do want to read Evelyn Hugo.
Ah that’s such a fun idea! I’ve noticed some authors and books being mentioned in other books before but nowhere near as many as you’ve mentioned being in this book.

I always find it interesting when books mention other books.
We love a good read that shouts-out other books! That’s so fun. 🙂 Thanks a bunch for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week, Pam. Appreciate this.
I do like finding other books mentioned in the book I’m reading. And I’m so happy to see Garden Spells in your list! Sarah Addison Allen is a local author for me so I’ve been to several of her books launches. She is so nice! I have to buy her books as soon as they come out. I’ve read a couple of Phaedra Patrick’s books and enjoyed them so I’ll have to be sure to check this one out too.
That is really cool! I do appreciate it when books about books (as it sounds like this one is) actually mention other, real books.
Looks like that character has good taste!
Such a fun topic. I don’t know that I’ve ever paid much attention to book mentions when I read but now I’m definitely going to pay more attention. 🙂
