Happy Tuesday, y’all! And happy belated Thanksgiving! I’m not confused; Monday, October 9, was the Canadian Thanksgiving. But back to the reason we’re here: a Top Ten Tuesday post. This week, Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl handed the reins over to Susan at Bloggin’ About Books. Susan wants us to share bookish jobs we would do for free, and they can be real or imaginary. I decided to tweak the topic and share some books featuring book-related jobs I’ve read recently.
In recent years, there has been an influx of books featuring book-related jobs. These jobs range from bookseller to librarian to writer. And they aren’t just in one genre, they are popping up in every genre.
All titles are linked to Goodreads, and book covers are linked to Amazon.

Great list! I’ve noticed a lot more bookish jobs in books lately, too. In addition to The Door-to-Door Bookstore (which I read at your recommendation) I’m currently reading Days at the Morisaki Bookshop. There are just so many books set in bookstores and libraries right now! I love it!

It makes me so happy to know that you read The Door-To-Door Bookstore and enjoyed it.
I feel like I see books with a bookshop setting often. Lots and lots of book sellers/shop owners. I’m sure it’s a lot of work, but it sounds like a book lovers dream. 🙂
Nice list, Pam.
You’re right – there have been tons of bookish books being published lately, a trend that I absolutely love! I’ve read five of these books and have most of the rest of them on my TBR list. What can I say? I just love books 🙂
Happy TTT!

Fun topic for today! Have a good week!
I love reading about books and book related jobs. The Bookshop on the Corner looks so cozy!
It is cozy Greg!
Ooh nice topic! I have a few characters work in bookstores, but it’s been so long since that happened! And of course I’ve read one book with a book blogger! So much fun when that happens!
Thanks for visiting my TTT!
I loved Meet Me in the Margins. Such a good book!
To Helvetica and Back by Paige Shelton sounds interesting. “Helvetica” reminds me of typographer as a bookish job, too.
Great list!
Great tweak for our list this week. I think we readers love to read about characters who have bookish jobs.
I do love books with book related jobs 🙂 Loved Book Lovers and Meet Me in the Margins is on my TBR.
