Happy Tuesday y’all! This week Jana, over at That Artsy Reader Girl, has decided today’s topic is bookish people we would like to meet. I decided to make it my bookish tea party guest list. Think along the lines of the five people you’d invite to dinner. Instead, I’m making it a tea party instead of dinner because it feels like a better fit!
My bookish tea party guest list comprises authors (living and dead), characters, and more!
Authors
Dame Agatha Christie is a must-invite for me. She is one of the best-selling authors of all time. But maybe after all this time, she would be willing to tell what happened over those 11 days she was missing.
Ian Fleming created the world’s most famous spy, and I would love to hear more about his life during World War II. How much of James Bond is from Fleming’s life? And let’s not forget Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
Rick Riordan may be a busy man, but I would love to have the opportunity to learn more about Percy and crew.
Jenny Colgan introduced me to cozy romance, and I want to thank her for that!
Characters
Hercule Poirot is probably the most famous detective in the world. Having the opportunity to observe him as he uses his “little gray cells” while observing the rest of the tea party would be such fun.
Sally Jackson deserves a break for a little while, doesn’t she? She raised Percy on her own and dealt with Gabe for so many years, and I think she’s earned a break.
Nina Hill seems like she would have such fascinating conversations with Poirot. I could enjoy my tea while they chatted.
Booktubers
Jesse the Reader is one of the first BookTubers I watched, and I continue to watch him. There’s something quirky about him that I enjoy.
Jess Owens has to be there. Why? So she can gather and spill the tea!
Kayla from Books and Lala is so much fun; how could I not invite her?
Book Bloggers
All of you are invited to my bookish tea party!

A bookish tea party is the best idea! 🙌
Thanks for the invite to your bookish tea party! It sounds like fun. I love that you added Nina Hill, she’s be a riot!
I accept, and I thank you for the invitation!
Lovely idea! Christie and Poirot would be lovely tea party guests; I would happily sit in on that conversation!
Ooh, this sounds fun!

What a lovely idea! But… I’m not much on tea… would there be coffee available as well?
This is a great idea. Yes to Agatha Christie! What a fascinating conversation. And Ian Fleming!
That sounds like a fun tea party! Though with Poirot there… I would keep worrying that it would turn into a murder mystery… 😉
I went rogue this week with my TTT: https://bookwyrmknits.com/2023/03/07/top-ten-tuesday-one-liner-quotes/
Such a lovely idea! I would so love to meet Rick Riordan one day though I doubt it will ever happen. And yes, Sally Jackson absolutely deserves a break 🙂

I love the bookish tea party idea! I would love to be at this tea party! Thanks for the invite! 🙂
This would be such a fun tea party indeed! I’d love to join 🙂 And Jesse the Reader is one of the first booktubers I discovered too so it would indeed be fun to meet him too.
This sounds like the most fun tea party I could ever think of, and I need to know when this is happening so I can be there on time! I love that you included a bit of everything – authors, characters, booktubers, and bloggers – and especially that you included some side characters who don’t always get the spotlight but definitely deserve some accolades, like Sally Jackson.
What a fun idea to have a tea party! This group sounds like they’d have great conversations, I’d love to hear any and all of Poirot’s observations

What a fun idea! I’ve never been to a tea party. It would be fun to go to one with all my favorite authors, though! 😀

That sounds like an epic tea party!
I would definitely come to your tea party, just to meet you! I’m also curious about the Christie mystery. She’d have all kinds of great stories to tell, I bet.
Happy TTT!

Several people have created fascinating tea parties – and yours is right in there too – great mix of people. This was a challenging topic for me but I persevered…. here’s me:

So fun! I love how you organized this!
Now this would be a fun tea party!
A bookish tea party sounds amazing! Especially with the people/characters you’ve chosen. I love that you’re giving Percy’s mom a bit of me-time!
I like your twist on the topic and how you included people from different areas of the bookish world as well. Have a great weekend.
