Let’s hear it for short TBRs! Lol! My November TBR was so short, I even went ahead and read my December TBR. I also managed to read a couple of books from my seasonal TBR.
Out of the eight books I read in November, there were no 5-star reads. There was one that was oh so close at 4.75 stars, and that’s The Living and the Dead by Christoffer Carlsson. Close behind with 4.5 stars was The Cafe by the Sea by Jenny Colgan and Secret Nights and Northern Lights by Megan Oliver.
Another month with no DNFs. Maybe I’m finally starting to learn what I like to read. LOL!
December TBR
I read the two ARCs I had planned to read for December in November. Sorry, not sorry! This month will be focused on reading a handful of holiday reads.
November Blog Wrap-Up and December Plans
In November, I published 11 posts. Of those 11, 4 were reviews, and 4 were TTT posts. There was also a wrap-up and a shelf clean-up. I even managed a cookbook review! Are you proud of me?
In February 2025, I wrote a post about my favorite historical fiction reads of 2024, which was also the most popular post overall in November. Of the 11 posts I published in November, the most popular was a look at ten random books I own
What does December have in store for the blog? That’s always a great question! There are five reviews and five TTT posts planned. And that craft project I’ve been discussing for the past few months? Well, it’s stalled, but it’s slowly getting a new look. Sadly, life keeps getting in the way, so I have made no progress. I will finish it and eventually post about it. I promise, by this time in 2026, the post will be up!
Personal Stuff
November has been a bit rough for me personally. I had a cold, then a random foot infection, then another cold. UGH! That’s not how the month was supposed to go. The second cold altered our family shopping trip, as my husband was laid up with it and stayed home. Being sick has thrown our holiday prep out of whack all the way around.
What’s happening in December? Well, other than the obvious holiday stuff? Hopefully, a month full of health and happiness! Though the first week will be a bit busy with appointments, primarily for my youngest daughter. Hubby and I have a date later in the month to see The Muppet Christmas Carol with live musical accompaniment; you can find the details here. We’re both excited, as it is one of our favorite Christmas movies.
That’s my November in a nutshell. How was your November? What was your favorite read? What are your plans for December?

Oh no, sorry to hear that your month was thrown off due to illness! I hope that you’ll see none of that in December and that it’s a smooth sailing final month of 2025. I can’t believe we’re already closing out another year! 🫣 I’m hoping to pick up The Impossible Fortune at some point this week and I can’t wait to reunite with my faves. 💜 I hope you have an awesome month ahead!
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.
I keep seeing Secret Nights and Northern Lights around and really want to read it. I’ve only heard good things about it! I’m sorry you’ve been sick and hope December is much better.
It was a fun read! And you can’t go wrong with Iceland as a setting.
I sympathize with your crazy month; I got sick at the beginning of November, and since then it’s felt like I’ve had nonstop car troubles! Hopefully you’re able to spend some restful time with family in December! That Muppet Christmas Carol date sounds fun.
I hope the car troubles resolve for you soon. It always sucks how everything seems to need repairs at the same time. I’ll let you know how fun the date is, I’m looking forward to it. I’m pretty sure my husband is too.
Oh, the Muppet Christmas Carol with live music sounds awesome! That’s one of our favorite holiday movies as well, and it would be perfect to see it not only with live music but also with a bunch of other fans!
