Happy Friday, y’all! I was stumped about what to share this month because it’s been an up-and-down month. So, instead of complicating things and forcing myself to come up with something clever, or just skipping it altogether, I decided to keep it easy. How easy? I’m sharing my ten favorite snacks. It’s snack time!

I got this idea from an upcoming TTT post topic. With that, we were tasked with a non-book freebie. I was going to do this list for that, but then I came up with a couple of different ideas. When I realized, this list would be perfect for a Foodie Friday post. And, since the kids are heading back to school soon, I thought this list would be a great conversation starter.
It’s snack time! Who’s ready to see my ten favorite snacks?
Red Delicious Apple
I love apples; there are some apples I prefer over others. The only apple I absolutely dislike is the McIntosh. It is like eating applesauce out of my hand. No thanks! The red delicious apple is my absolute favorite apple. When I was at university, many mornings I had peanut butter for breakfast. Since my husband is allergic to nuts, I will often pair my apple with cheddar cheese. Either way is a great snack!
Baby Carrots
I have always LOVED carrots. Baby carrots are just easy snacks. Again, when I was in university, baby carrots dipped in peanut butter were either a late-night snack or even breakfast. Recently at work, I found myself eating half a bag of baby carrots as a snack.
Cool Ranch Doritos
This is a hill I will die on, but Cool Ranch Doritos are the best flavor of Doritos. A close second is the Pickle Cool Ranch Doritos. Almost every time I get road trip snacks, Cool Ranch Doritos are the first thing I grab.
Dill Pickle Chips
These are something new to me. I love pickles! But it took me several years to try dill pickle chips, and now they are one of my favorites. I’ll get these more often than the Doritos, but only because almost every chip company makes them.
Ketchup Chips
As a kid, I used to dip plain potato chips in ketchup. I remember my sister thinking it was gross, until I pointed out that chips are just super-thin fries. After moving to Canada, ketchup-flavoured chips are everywhere, much like the dill pickle chips. And they are so darn good!
All-Dressed Chips
This is another Canadian staple in the potato chip game. It’s hard to explain the flavour because every bag is different. LOL! All-dressed chips are seasoned with an assorted mix of seasonings from other chips: barbecue, ketchup, sour cream and onion, salt and vinegar, etc. Each time the chips are made, the ratios can vary. And the best version is the Ruffles All-Dressed chips. You can find them as “flat” chips, but the rippled ones are way better!
Strawberry Starbursts
As a kid, I loved Starbursts. I still enjoy them, but my tastes have altered somewhat. There is one flavour that I absolutely despise from the original flavour pack. What flavour? Cherry! It is so gross! I enjoy the orange and lemon ones. But the strawberry ones? *chef’s kiss* They are perfection!
Swedish Fish
I adore Swedish Fish. Maybe it’s the memories I have associated with them, and that’s why I adore them. My biggest memory of them goes back to my time in university. To get my theater credit, I had to participate in a production. My director was trying to get me to hit my mark and to project my voice. This was during the spring semester, and for Lent I had given up caffeine. As such, she decided to bribe me with Swedish Fish. My friends thought it was funny.
Swedish Berries
These gummies are softer than Swedish Fish, but firmer than other gummies. There are various versions of these, not just the Swedish Fish brand. And they are all good in my mind.
Gummy Soda Bottles
I prefer gummy soda bottles over other gummy “shapes” and flavors. There’s something yummy about them. While they may not taste like soda, there is something that checks the box all the same. If I pick up a pack of assorted gummies, the soda bottles are the first ones I go for.
Snack time is over! Are any of these your favorite snacks? What are some of your favorite snacks?

I’m right there with you on the Cool Ranch Doritos! Those are the best.
I also really enjoy simple popcorn. Either popped from the kernel or in one of the no-butter microwave packs is best.
I love popcorn too. Unfortunately, as I’ve gotten older it’s been rough on my teeth.
True, it’s not the greatest in that regard.
