Happy Friday, y’all! I’ve decided to start a new series on my blog about my favorite food content creators. I want to share the people I enjoy watching and learning from on all platforms. As this is my inaugural post, I wanted to start with my favorite creator, Beryl Shereshewsky.

Beryl is the first to tell you she’s not a professional chef. She enjoys food and exploring the world. Beryl’s has been in the entertainment industry for several years, mostly around food. In 2020, she started her YouTube channel, Beryl Shereshewsky.
Beryl posts new videos weekly, where she makes five recipes that viewers submit to her. Each week the videos have themes ranging from rice to toast to celebration food. It’s fun seeing how people around the world use similar ingredients. Beryl shares the recipes she makes on her website, which you can find here.
Through watching her videos, my family has been introduced to Maggi Hot and Sweet, an Indian sauce, and chicken salt, an Australian seasoning. Both have become staples in our household. We have also tried a few recipes she’s shared, including Menemen, an egg dish from Turkey.
Beryl also has a series on her channel where she invites viewers to share their orders from various styles of restaurants. Through this series, I have been drawn to try Nepalese food. And I am lucky enough to have a restaurant nearby that serves Nepalese food.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, she also worked with PBS on a series called Pan Pals. You can find the playlist here. The series’ premise is taking two recipes with something in common, and switching them with each other. Person A submits a recipe, as does person B. They swap recipes and each gives them a try.
I hope you check out Beryl Shereshewsky’s channel. She’s fun to watch, and I’ve learned a lot from her videos. Have you ever watched Beryl’s videos? Are there any content creators you enjoy?
