November was an okay month for me, reading-wise. I’m happy to report that I’ve finished reading my ARCs for 2024. I haven’t started on my ARCs for 2024 because I want to focus on reading some of the books languishing on my shelves. Don’t ask how that’s going!
I’m unsure if I can pick a favorite read for the month. I had one five-star, one 4.5-star, and three four-star reads. I would recommend any of them.
There were a couple of DNF books this month, too. Petals and Poison by Jess Dylan was okay. I read around 150 pages (close to half the book) and found I didn’t care what happened. With The Starlet and the Spy by Ji-Min Lee, I struggled to read the first chapter, which was almost 40 pages long. I’m unsure if something was lost in translation, but it was too much of a struggle.
December TBR
As funny as this may sound, I have a whole post dedicated to this. It will be up on Tuesday, December 3.
November Blog Wrap-Up & December Plans
I can finally reveal my ambitious December blog plans. Since September, I have been writing and scheduling posts for December. It has taken a lot of work, but I am participating in Blogmas this year. What’s Blogmas? For those who don’t know, bloggers often post every day in December. Some people do this for the entire month, while others do it for a couple of weeks. I am promising you right here, on December 1, to have a post a day in December through December 24. That’s right, from December 1-24, a new blog post will be every day. While most are book-related, there are also several food-related and creative posts. So, check in daily to see what I’ve got going on.
Personal Stuff
I managed to finish my daughter-in-law’s stocking just in time. I’ll share hers and the rest of the family’s in a post soon. I think working on her stocking is why there are so many audiobooks for November. That way, I could still read while working on things.
December will be the usual chaos, with Christmas and my husband’s birthday a few days before. There are also a few medical things to be taken care of this month, or at least started to be taken care of. Along the way, I hope to get the house back in order before the end of the month. Let’s face it: Christmas always takes over everything. But November was full of crafting and creating, so there’s stuff everywhere in the house.
That’s my November in a nutshell. How was your November 2024? What was your favorite read for the month? What are your plans for December?
