This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic from That Artsy Reader Girl is Titles or Covers That Made me Buy or Want to Read the book. I decided to change it up and share some book covers that seem to scream summer. Oh, and I made the list 15 books instead of just 10.
August 2021 is here, though I’m not sure how that has happened. In honor of the summer’s heat, I decided to come up with a list of 15 book covers. Many of these books have a beach or water on their covers. For some, it was just the main color that was enough to encourage me to put it on the list for some of the covers. The story itself may not be summer-related, but the cover certainly is.
Get those sunglasses and sunscreen on, and let’s check out some summer-like book covers!
- Palisades Park by Alan Brennert
- Lost and Found Sisters by Jill Shalvis
- French Coast by Anita Hughes
- The Pearl Thief by Elizabeth Wein
- The Siren by Katherine St. John
- You Have a Match by Emma Lord
- Summertime Guests by Wendy Francis
- Between Two Kingdoms: A Memoir of a Life Interrupted by Suleika Jaouad
- Haven Point by Virginia Hume
- The Guncle by Steven Rowley
- Good Girl Complex by Elle Kennedy
- Beyond the Tides by Liz Johnson
- Meet Cute by Helena Hunting
- The Road Trip by Beth O’Leary
- The Flipside of Perfect by Liz Reinhardt
Don’t you agree that these book covers scream summer? I haven’t read any of these books yet, but they are on my TBR. Have you read any of these? Did I miss any other summer covers?

The Guncle sounds good!

These do scream summer. They also scream “Read me next” because they all look like such fun books. 😀
These are great summer covers! I love the ones that have a sunset feel to them, like Good Girl Complex.

Wow, these books really do scream summer! It’s like they’re demanding to be read next to a pool, or at the beach. Great twist on this week’s topic!
A very summery list! ☀⛱
Here’s my list this week.
These all look so nice together and definitely scream summer! I only read The Road Trip but had mixed feelings about that one so hope you’ll love it more!
I love summery covers! I especially love Haven Point and the Guncle! Palisades Point is nice too, as is Siren. 🙂
yay! I love seeing Beyond the Tides on your list – Liz’s books are so good! My TTT
I have it on my TBR, I’ve never read any of her books, but I’m all for reading more Canadian books.
I’m not a fan of summer (maybe because I live in Arizona, where it’s ALWAYS summer), but I do love these fun covers. They’re bright and happy and definitely eye-catching. Great list!
Happy TTT!

I used to live in Virginia and never really loved summer either. The humidity can be horrible. Now that I’m in the Great White North (Canada), summer is a wonderful time of year.
That version of The Pearl Thief definitely has a very summery cover!

So much summer! Adding a few to my TBR to cheer me up from the winter weather
Great list!
Those do look very summery! Thanks for sharing and visiting my blog earlier. 🙂
These do look so good for summer!! I want to read many of them now. haha. Guncle looks so good! I’ve never heard of it so I had to look it up and then added it to my TBR! Great list.
Cute theme for this week! These covers are super happy and bright. 🙂
These are fun, summery covers!
These definitely scream summer! I’m very curious to read The Road trip. I loved the Flatshare by the same author. Hope to read it soon.
These definitely look like books to read while sitting by the pool or on a beach. Nice twist on the topic.
These are definitely summer-vibe covers! It’s fun to see them all put together. I’ve read You’ve Got a Match, which is a summery read (set at a summer camp — so much fun). I’ve also read The Pearl Thief, which I don’t remember as being very summery, but I get why the cover makes it feel that way. Nice list!
GReat list!
Your covers definitely look very summer-y and cheerful. Well done.
Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.
Between Two Kingdoms is on my TBR as well!
I love good summery covers because summer’s my favorite season. The People We Meet on Vacation was also a good summer read. I haven’t read any of these, but I do like Beth O’Leary and Elizabeth Wein.
The Gruncle looks a lot of fun!
I like those illustrated covers – they are fun. The Guncle cover is pretty cute. Good list.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a lovely day.
All of these covers do scream summer. Although, I don’t remember Meet Cute feeling like a summer read. It was kind of depressing. Not at all a rom-com like I thought it would be.
I love the vintage look of Palisades Park!
I will be reading Beyond the Tides this month 🙂
These books definitely scream summer. Anything about a road trip is fun. If a book has water on the cover, it will catch my eye. The Guncle looks amazing. I saw it on another blog this week, too.
Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog.
All those covers scream summer to me! My favorite is lost and found sisters.
I do love a good summer cover.
You have a Match was really cute
I love summery covers!
I love this summery list! And how fun to see The Guncle on here. I’ve been meaning to read it for ages.
These definitely do scream summer! I love the cover for Meet Cute, I’ll have to add it to my TBR 😀
Fantastic selection of covers and they definitely all scream summer to me. 🙂
Liz’s novel is 100% all kinds of summer! Love that. (It sounds pretty fun, too.) Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland last week. Appreciate it.
