Happy Thursday y’all! How is everyone’s reading going this year? Have you been successful with your reading challenge this year? Are you looking for a book to read? You’ve come to the right place for some ideas. I’ve put together a list of 10 books to help satisfy a reading challenge.
When I was looking for a tag for this week, I came across a few different reading challenges and noticed some categories in common. That’s when the lightbulb went off. Why not take those categories and list books for them? So here we go!
A Book With More Than 500 Pages
The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes by Diane Chamberlain
A Classic Romance
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen; honestly, almost anything by Jane Austen would work for this category
A Book That Became a Movie
Where the Heart Is by Billie Letts, the movie stars Natalie Portman and Stockard Channing.
A Book Published in 2021
The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin
A Book With a Number in the Title
The Girls at 17 Swann Street by Yara Zgheib
A Book Written by Someone Under 30
Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales; she has a couple of other books you can check out as well
A Book With Nonhuman Characters
Perestroika in Paris by Jane Smiley; features a cast of mostly animals
A Funny Book
The 100-Year-Old-Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson
A Book by a Female Author
We Are Not Free by Traci Chee
A Mystery or Thriller
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie; or anything else by Christie for a mystery
The Janson Command by Paul Garrison for a thriller
Have I helped you satisfy your reading challenge?
