Happy Tuesday y’all! I know this week’s Top Ten Tuesday is supposed to be books for people who don’t read. But honestly, I couldn’t come up with any. Mainly because I know everyone’s reading preferences vary. I’m sorry, Jana! Instead, I thought I would share a Bookish Gift Guide for the Big Spender! I mean, with the holidays right around the corner, I thought this could inspire some wish lists or gift ideas.

Bookish Gift Guide Big Spender Edition

You may be surprised to find that I did not include any books on this list. But like I said, I don’t like telling people what books they should buy. Yes, I know I share books most weeks on the TTT, but a shopping guide is different. This week’s gift guide will offer items that are over $50, with many over $100.

1. Tablet

A tablet can be a low-budget item or a high-budget item. It honestly depends on what you need it to do for you. We currently have an Amazon Fire that we use for playing games, watching videos, and reading books through the Kindle feature. I have my fingers crossed that I will get my own tablet this year!

2. E-reader

If you don’t want to get a tablet for fear of distraction because let’s face it, tablets make it so easy to be distracted. An e-reader is an option.

3. Headphones/Earbuds

Does your reader like audiobooks? A new set of headphones or earbuds may be a welcome gift. Personally, I’m not a fan of earbuds, but I know a lot of people are. No matter which one you get, one thing to look for is that it is Bluetooth compatible. Another option to consider is if they have noise canceling (or dampening) capability. If the headphones will be used while running or walking outside, noise dampening may be a safer alternative to noise canceling.

4. A Comfy Chair

Who doesn’t love a comfortable place to sit and read? Is your bookworm creating a reading nook? Maybe you can help encourage them to create one by giving them a great chair!

While I don’t have this chair, I would be more than happy to have it, especially in this fun color!

5. Bookshelf

While a bookshelf may seem like a strange gift, but it matches perfectly with the chair above. The Billy from Ikea is one of the most common bookshelves you will see on Booktube and probably on BookTok and Bookstagram. It’s the one that I have and love! It’s affordable, comes in 3 colors, and has accessories to make it personal (like doors, extra selves, etc.)

6. TBR Cart

Something else that you’ll see Book influencers use is something called a TBR cart. What is a TBR cart? It is a multi-leveled cart that is small and on wheels where many people will put their current reads and the ones they want to read in the coming days/weeks. I’ve seen them in two different stores, one being Ikea and the other is Michaels. Both options are relatively affordable (under $50), but if you add on the topper that both offer, you’ll spend around $60.

7. Cuff Bracelet

I don’t wear a lot of jewelry; after working in a warehouse for over six years, it just became a habit. That doesn’t mean I don’t like it. And if it’s book-related, that’s even better!

8: Book Sculpture

This gift idea is back to setting up a reading nook or library. A beautiful sculpture can be found any place, but a book-related one may be harder to find. This one from MadHippoArt on Etsy is stunning!

9. Framed Book Art

This idea is yet another decor idea for a reading nook or library. Redbubble is a great website to check out for the art; there are various styles: cover prints, fan art, bookish prints, etc. You can order the print framed or unframed and then find a perfect frame at a store near you.

10. Tickets to a Book Convention or Literary Festival

There are many book conventions and literary festivals around the world. The easiest way to find one is to do a Google search for book conventions or literary festivals near you. Some have no cost for tickets, and others have a fee for tickets. Below is a list of 3 conventions that I have found, all in the United States.

And that is a brief Bookish Gift Guide: Big Spender edition! Did you find anything you want to add to your holiday wish list? Is there something that I missed?

Spoiler: Next week, I will do another gift guide, but for the smaller budget. And the week after will be stocking stuffers, which could be any price!

  1. I went rogue today too πŸ˜‚ I desperately want that chair + footstool right now in that colour because ugh, I love it! 😍 Also, Kindles are a great gift idea and they last forever too. I need to find a way to slip some of these ideas to my family lol

    1. Even if the convention is free, there are so many possible side costs (travel, food, etc.).

  2. Wait. There are book conventions? I mean, of course there are, but book conventions that ordinary people can go to? And look at books? AND TALK ABOUT BOOKS?

    Off to google. *mind blown*

    Happy TTT!

  3. This is a great list! I want a comfy reading nook, but right now our condo is stuffed with furniture so my reading nook has to do double-duty as our living room, LOL. Someday I’ll have a space just for reading!

  4. That cuff bracelet is so cute! Honestly every item on here is a great idea. I’ve been wavering on whether to get a Kindle for a couple years; I’ve been reading a lot more e-books than I used to, and it would be nice to have something bigger than my phone to do that on, but at the same time I worry whether or not I’d end up actually using one. I’ll probably end up buying one eventually, but we’ll see.

  5. AWESOME list! When I saw the title of your post, I thought you were going to do out-of-this-world expensive items, but your list is very practical and includes things most bookworms would be thrilled to have. I’d add bookstore gift cards because those are always fun. When I was first married, my in-laws gave me a $100 bookstore gift card for Christmas and I thought I had died and gone to heaven!

    Happy TTT!

  6. This is a great list and suddenly I think I need a TBR cart, LOL! I looked at the Book lovers conference but it is too much for this introvert! Thanks for sharing!

  7. This is a great idea. I love framed book art so much. And tickets to a convention or event- what an awesome idea!

    I love that chair too.

  8. This is such a fabulous list. I hadn’t thought of a TBR cart, but it reminds me of the carts in our library. Neat way to keep the TBR books handy. I love the bracelet and the sculpture, too.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

  9. What a fantastic list of ideas for bookish gifts. My family always asks me what I want for Christmas or my birthday, this gives me some ideas.

Thanks for visiting my TTT which has a lot of my favourite shorter books.

    1. Stay tuned next week, because I’m also going to do a budget friendly list as well.

  10. I liked a lot of things on your list, especially the chair. What is a TBR cart?

    1. A TBR Cart is just a small utility cart, often in a fun color, that people use to sort their books. Some use it to hold the books they plan to read over a certain period of time. Other people use it to store craft supplies.

  11. *slides this post to her fiancΓ©* This is such a great list! I kinda want a TBR cart now. And tickets to a book fair/convention.

  12. Fun! I need to post my little gift guide yet too. Just haven’t gotten to it yet. But I love that you added a chair. I have been thinking about getting a chair for filming, but then I remember I may give that up in 2022, so it’s one of those things like, “do I really need one?” πŸ˜€ Thanks for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week! Appreciate it.
