Happy Tuesday! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday made me think about the books I want to read. The topic for this week’s posts is “Books I Read In One Sitting (or Would If I Could).” I’m not one to read a book in one sitting. So I decided to twist the topic to fit me. This week I am presenting 10 Books With the Word Day in Their Title. Seven books are on my TBR, 2 are ones I’ve read in the past couple of years, and one is a current read.

10 Books With the Word Day in Their Title

Book 1: The Tuesday Club Murders by Agatha Christie

I recently picked up a copy of this book from the thrift store. And the best part, it is in mint condition and is over 30 years old. It’s not the book in the picture, which is still a great-looking cover.

Book 2: Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale

I added this book to my TBR in November 2020. Not sure what drew me to it, but it has captured my eye.

Book 3: Seven Days of Us by Francesca Hornak

A Christmas book set in an English country estate. It is a family story that I am looking forward to reading when the holidays get closer.

Book 4: Rainy Day Friends by Jill Shalvis

Another book about family and friendship. Plus, check out the cute dog on the cover!

Book 5: Forever and a Day by Anthony Horowitz

This book is another one from Anthony Horowitz that stars James Bond. I am a huge fan of 007 and have read a variety of books featuring him. I recently picked up this one, and I am eager to read it as it’s an origin story of sorts.

Book 6: The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman

I added this one to my TBR in February after learning about the second one in the series, The Man Who Died Twice. I have to read the first book in the series first.

Book 7: Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

There is just something intriguing about this book. I think it has to do with the fact the book appears to happen in a week. A second chance at love, will seven days be enough?

Book 8: A Bad Day for Sunshine by Darynda Jones

This book is one that I just started listening to over the past weekend. I’m in love with Sunshine Vicram’s sass. This is the second series written by Darynda Jones that I have read. The narrator is the same one for both series, and she is perfect!

Book 9: Magnolia Wednesdays by Wendy Wax

This book was one I read in 2019. It features Vivian Armstrong Gray, a fortysomething journalist whose life is falling apart. Jobless and pregnant, she agrees to write a column about suburban living in the south.

Book 10: The Day the Falls Stood Still by Cathy Marie Buchanan

This book was one that I read last year. Set in Niagara Falls, Canada, in the 1910s, you follow Bess Heath as her life of comfort and privilege suddenly flips after she learns her father lost his job, and her mother has started taking in sewing.

Have you read any of these? What do you think about these 10 books with the word day in their title? Did I miss any?

  1. I like your take on the list. I wonder how many more books have ‘day’ in the title. I’ve heard of a couple of these but have never read them.

  2. I love your twist on the topic for this week, although I’ve never heard of any of these books. I’m absolutely going to be adding some to my TBR, and I loved the sound of A Bad Day for Sunshine!

  3. Love this twist on the prompt! I would’ve found it so hard to find so many books with ‘day’ in the title–well done!

  4. Great twist on the prompt! I’ve been looking at reading Seven Days in June. I’d be interested to hear what your final thoughts are.

  5. Fun list — I like your topic! I’ve only read a couple (Seven Days of Us, The Book of a Thousand Days), but I like the looks of a few others. Seven Days in June has been getting a lot of buzz, but I don’t really know anything about it. I’d love to hear what you think if you end up reading it!

    1. It’s funny how this cover isn’t the one from the version I read. But I think I like this one better. The one I read was a close-up of a waterfall.

  6. Great list! I didn’t even know there were so many books with “Day” in there title. The only one I could have thought of would have been “One Day in December”. =)

  7. Nice twist. I’m sure I could do a list like that, there are so many books with the word day in the title. Will have to keep that in mind. And I’ve only read one of them, The Thursday Murder Club.

Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.

  8. Loved your spin on it! I think the only book I’ve read from your list was the Darynda Jones one.

  9. Nice twist on the topic! I can’t read a book in one sitting either so I switched topics, too. Magnolia Wednesdays sounds interesting. I haven’t read anything by Wax before.
